So I asked this girl out for this upcoming saturday and got her number at the same time, but I called her yesterday afternoon and left a message but haven't heard back from her, so I pretty much know she's not into me (even though she seemed happy when I asked her out). What do I do? Are we just kinda stuck going on this date when I know she probably doesn't want to be there, and therefore, I wouldn't want to be either knowing she has no interest in me? Is there any way to give her a chance to back out without seeming too obvious? Or is there a way to tell for sure that I'm reading her right in the first place?

wow, calm it down turbo.

what if her voicemail isn't working? what if she had a crazy week and couldn't call you back?

leave a message with the date plans and tell her you can't wait to see her then.

don't be a spaz and overthink it too much.

I would advice you to goon the date and show her a really good time, make her feel that you really like her and like spending time with her. If she seemed excited at first, she probably was, but then got nervous. Humans are weird like that, but it doesn't mean she doesnt like you. If you go on the date and she doesn't warm up you can either cut it short (politely) or ask her straight out if something is the matter, I would recommend the latter, though it is a little awkward

Good luck!

don't go into it thinking that she's not interested. sometimes people don't get their messages for a while, either because they are separated from their phone (it has happened to me before) or because the phone company is being slow (has also happened to me, i thought someone stole my car but my sister had taken it and left a voicemail... long story). so i think you should give it more time before jumping to conclusions that she's not into you.

i think you should wait for her to call back. or try to call her again, atleast 12 hours after you called her last. there's probably not a problem. just go into the date normally without some preconception that she doesn't like you. give it a chance.

WOW! you are reading alot into this.I agree that maybe she was just busy, but give her another day.If you don't hear back from her by friday, then just leave her a message that you have to cancel.Tell her something came up and to call you if she wants to go out another time. Then just let it go.

Well maybe she just hasn't checked her messages...Have you tried calling again? You should just enjoy yourself on the date nonetheless
