You have to really think about this one. Do you really like the person - easy signs are; continuelly thinking about the person, seeing the person alot and even asking this question that in its self shows that you have feelings for the person.
The best thing to do is to go for it, stop wasting your own time, if you truely like the person then go for it, dont ever go through life wishing or wondering, that way you will never be dissappointed. Meaning if the person says no then the person said no, but least you yourself know that and you tried.
Maybe start slow and hang out more go on some dates then decide, even talk to the person about it, he/she is not going to hate you for asking. You'll be fine just remember if you take any advice then make sure that it is this - What ever you do, do it now because the worst thing to regret is relationships they will play on your mind for ever.

How good of friends are you two?
Do you know how he feels about you? and about having sex with you?
My gut would tell me that he was just in it to get a piece of ***. As a girl, you are much more prone to become emotionally attached to him after having sex.
Prepare yourself for the fact that he will not feel the same way---continue the friendship, or just get some good action...???

Why should you do anything? If you had sex with that person, then either you were really drunk or you have some type of feelings for him/her. If you like that person, just go with the flow. If you feel it was a mistake, then tell that person IMMEDIATELY so you won't be leading him/her on.
