In the immediate, short, medium, long and very long terms? Because then price spikes, fluctuations and increases in other energy production methods will be insulated against, right? Plus once the green energy industry takes off prices will come down more and more while we know many other forms of energy production will get more and more expensive especially those forms that are not renewable or have expensive waste storage, pollution or emission problems.

Environmental issue is not necessarily a religious issue but just like political issues, people with different religions may respond to environmental issues differently. For example, the term "Mother Earth" is used among some enviromentalists to suggest the ties between the Earth and humans. The term has received some criticisms even though it might not be the majority opinions. Can you think of other examples and do you think environmental issues would be more accepted if more neutral terms are used in their slogans?

In our newspaper today, there is a notice of application for a new pipeline extension running from Colorado across Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiand, and Ohio. The article lists a website, but I am unable to access a map of the proposed pipeline. Anyone know where I can view a map? It will be coming very close to where I live, and I would like to know exactly where it will be coming through.

Why is a simplified community such as a cornfield usually vulnerable to harm from insects and plant disease than a more complex, natural community such as a grassland?

Do we really need to go faster (more fuel used), drive bigger cars/vans/SUVs (especially since no one has a large-3 to 5 kids-family much anymore), and lush, green lawns (chemicals ugh). Instead of a green lawn, why not have drought-type plants, bushes, and flowers? Maybe a little green that you can push mow and burn some calories at the same time.

What are your views?

So should you leave a light on (if say you are leaving it on for ten minutes) or turn it off. Which uses more electricity?
It is the age old question of 'to leave or not to leave, that is the question. Whether it is nobler in the socket to suffer the stings and arrows of electricity companies making an outrageous fortune, or take up arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing them, turn off the light'.

Hemp can be used for so many different things such as paper, clothes and even the manufacture of building material for house and such, i've seen a car body made out of hemp. it's very strong. it can be used for much much more such as fuel for the car and heating and it can beused in medicine. so why not use hemp more and more to save this planet from oil.
