I've studied climatology / climate change etc and it's a subject I know something about. What credible arguments would you use to convince me that anthropogenic global warming / climate change is either fabrication or of little consequence.

Please, credible arguments only.

Putting aside the case for or against global warming / climate change, what concerns do you have regarding gw / cc. For example, the implications of acceptance by governments or society.

There's several global warming skeptics on this site, I'd like to know to what academic level you have studied global warming / climate change / climatology or other relevant subject(s).

Thankyou.

I heard a NASA scientist on NPR this morning discussing global warming. He agrees in the reality of global warming, and that it is caused by human action, he just questions if it is truly a bad thing. He said that working to stop climate change is saying that the climate as it is right now is optimal. He brings up the fact that the climate has changed numerous times throughout the world's history (dinosaurs time, ice ages, etc.) and thinks it is rather arrogant for us to decide that we should not allow it to happen any more.

I personally thought his idea was crazy, but I'm curious to hear what others think.

From a scientific standpoint, would the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere be increasing on an Earth with no humans (or other industrialized beings) given the same temperatures we are experiencing today?

We are bombarded with claims that current CO2 increases are man-made. Is 100% of the increase attributable to man?

Is the earth going to get so hot that we will need to sit in pools all day with air conditioning on in the winter?
Will it get to that in my lifetime? (I'm 13)
If we work to fix it, will it ever get like that?

Thank you!

Let see the alarmist answer this one. Is he ignorant? Is he bought by big oil? Why would he say this? Surely he know we are all about to die from Global Warming. Should he lose his job? He must be silenced if he doesn't beleive in GW, right?

Up till now science seems to have found most answers to our probs, do you think they will find an answer to global warming before it's too late? We won't give up our cars, electricity for lights heat refrigeration etc, gas for heat and fire to cook on. Forget it, it won't happen so it is up to science, do you think they will find an answer?

Please read this pargraph and reword it correctly. I am awful with word but know what I want to say please help me and reword and rearranbge if need in this pargraph for me.

A warmer climate would probably have far-reaching effects on agriculture and forestry, managed and un-managed ecosystems, including natural habitats, human health, water resources, and sea level depending on climate responses. The concern that human activities are affecting the heat/energy-exchange balance between Earth, the atmosphere, and space, and inducing global climate change, often termed global warming." Human activities, particularly the burning of fossil fuels, have increased atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) and other trace greenhouse gases. If these gases continue to accumulate in the atmosphere at current rates, most scientists believe global warming would occur through intensification of Earth's natural heat-trapping "greenhouse effect." Possible impacts might be seen as both positive and negative.

Prolific in his "The sky is falling" schpilkus, he has failed in documenting the genuine physics. He seeks to foster a growing emotional climate using YOU as his personal thought victims.

Al Gore cannot travel without tax-paid Secret Service. His invited coiffures, celebrities & courted dignitaries, and reporters (shall we say "entourage") are paid by us.

Personally, I consume about 1,000USD of energy per month. I know that some may consume more, and many much less.

So where can I find the true consumption of energy Al Gore expends (both private & tax paid) per month?

Can anyone find his call for "counter-global warming" and
AL Gore himself as a greater cause of ecological crime than the common man?

If global warming was just a part of the Earth's natural cycle...

What harm could come from trying to protect the enviornment? What's wrong with that?

I get up here every few months and say "prove man-made global warming" and I get the same thing:

Proof of warming - though not of its cause.

Proof that humans generate CO2 - though no proof that this is a material cause of the present of several prior similar warming periods.

Denials of some of the recent warm periods - though some of you have begun to come out and say "yeah, fine, they happened, it was warmer, but this time is different" - just, without showing how it's different.

"So and so says it's us" but cannot prove it.

"This or that website says it's us" but does not prove it.

"You're just too stupid" or "closed-minded."

"You're paid by Exxon."

"You must be a Republican."

I'm just someone who doesn't feel obligated to change my lifestyle based on an unproven assertion, and who keeps asking where's the proof and keeps getting the same non-answers.

Yet you wonder why people don't just take your word for it!!!!

if u look at earths graphs of co2 levels and temp levels, they follow eachother. i hear some people say co2 is not a greenhouse gas. but if that is true, then why does venus have hotter weather than mercury, then though mercury is a lot closer. i dont see their reasons why dont think it exist. why?

PS!! dont be dumb and say "global warming ahhh its dumb! it never happened!" you are just being stupid and illogical. that was not the question. if u feel u must put that, i question your intelligence. give me REASONS why u dont believe it. not some rant.
