Global warming is a huge problem, and we have the evidence to back it up.

He also said this: "I'm aware that global warming exists. I understand that the bulk of scientific evidence accumulated supports the claim that we've had about a one degree centigrade rise in temperature over the last century to within an accuracy of 20 percent. I'm also aware of recent findings that appear to have nailed down — pretty well nailed down the conclusion that much of that is manmade. Whether that is a longterm concern or not, I can't say." He is only asking questions that needed to be asked in any scientific debate. Nothing really going on here.

I don't think you've got the whole quote. What Michael Griffin actually said was "I have no doubt that a trend of global warming exists. I am not sure that it is fair to say that it is a problem we must wrestle with." He also said, in the same interview "I'm also aware of recent findings that appear to have pretty well nailed down the conclusion that much of that is manmade."

And no, I don't see how the quote could possibly raise money for Hillary Clinton.

The experts are in disagreement with this issue. However, scientist say mankind with all his machinery only contributes 4% of the carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. Charleton Heston had a special on tv years ago showing maps charted in the 1500s that showed green earth at the south pole. The earth continually renews itself. We are not destroying the planet. We may destroy ourselves but the earth will continue to renew itself. Climate changes have occurred since recorded history. No big deal. One leader of a former communist nation says global warming is the new communism as it will frighten people into paying more taxes to preserve the earth. There was more ice in Greenland this year than there was in many past years. Does not sound like it is getting warmer to me.

Well, first of all...
We have only been keeping tabs on weather patterns for the last 4 or 5 hundred years, and only the last hundred very accurately. Our scientists ALL agree that the Earth has complex weather patterns that we dont fully understand. So how in the world are we able to say with any degree of confidence that WE are causing the climate to change?
Second, my local weatherman cannot tell me what the weather will be like TODAY, and NASA is telling me what it will be like in 75 years?!?!?!? Am I the only one who thinks that is a little odd?
