I like what Chris Rock has to say about it....

"We don't need gun control, we need bullet control .- Each bullet should cost $5,000."

So funny.

Look at what happened to Australia when they took guns away from law abiding citizens...you can't keep them from honest people and expect the criminals not to have any.

I can't really say if I am for or against because it's such an open ended subject.
I am against:
taking guns from law abiding citizens

I am for:
being able to protect your home and family
hunting (with training)

guns used in crimes should carry a mandatory life sentence, police need to be given leeway to use deadly force, and criminals should never EVER be able to sue if they are shot during a crime - heck, they shouldn't be able to sue anyone at any time if they were hurt during a crime.

...but what does this have to do with global warming?

I’m not against owning guns, I know a lot of people who do. I even used to hunt myself, took the required gun training class even though I was over the age when it became required to do so in our state. I like to go target shooting.

But….Minnesota has recently passed a concealed carry license, virtually any one walking down the street can carry a gun. This scares the crap out of me! Especially knowing some of the people who have gotten it. Some person could get pissed off in traffic and hey, bang bang, you’re dead. Not that this couldn’t happen anyway, but it just seems like we are giving people the right to do so with this, bringing them one step closer to making it possible. I wish this license wouldn’t have been approved.

I don’t think that the government should take away the right to own firearms. That would give the government too much power over us “free citizens”. But damn, it’s a scary world we live in.

FOr sensible gun control. The US government knows how criminals get their guns, off of the street or from friends or family. Guns need to be controlled to prevent these people being able to give or sell their guns to people who will use them in a criminal act.

However it has to be proper gun control because bad gun control is worse than none at all.

I'm all for gun control.

That's why the firearms I'm not carrying I keep in a safe.

Have a good holster.

Hit what I'm aiming at.

Use both hands.

By the way what do firearms have to do with global warming, other than controlling the body politic?

I think Clint Eastwood said it best: "I'm all for gun control. If there's a gun around, I want to be the one controlling it."

Most criminals that use guns didn't get them legally so if you enforce the laws that already exist things would be much better. Keep them away from the criminals not the law abiding citizens.

We have a constitutional right to own guns. Having said this, felons, persistently mentally ill and children should not be armed. Where gun control is the strictest, the crime is the highest. We have a right and to try to take it away is ludicrous. More people die in car crashes. Should we take away motorized vehicles. People die of drug overdoses. Should we take away meds?

Especially in US we can't have control or any restrictions. Each state has their own laws governing gun sales. The Gun lobby has biggest influence on US Congress and senate and in administration. So nothing we can do for it.If you wish you can follow the law
