I mean, people come...listen to music and have a great time..but leave tons (literally) of trash, they have to use a means of transportation to get there to begin with...idk it just seems a little backwards to me..

I personally believe global warming is becoming a problem...but doesn't anyone else think these festivites are a little much and uneccesary?

we are going through a cycle........we are contributing to the global warming(climate change), but it's probably only 1%......the scientist says we are eventually going to lead up to a new mini ice age...they can't make up their minds -.- ;; i guess it's confusing people.........sooo....type your thoughts! =D

I work in a frame shop and yea I'm a little bit of an environmentalist. I've changed all the light bulbs except the one in the fridge pretty much...if they made eco friendly fridge lights...yea I would changed that one too! lol.
In the fram shop I'm constantly keeping scraps of glass or mats and using them from other pieces of art work for out customers. It's not a bad thing, it's brand new and I place different material in different drawers. My old manager thought I was a little silly..but I was also saving the shop money so she didn't care.
My new manager however never even bothered to ask me about the material and threw away at least 700 bucks worth of scraps into the trash! She came to me and basically said global warming doesn't exist, and that it's all a scam. I personally believe global warming is a problem, but I've never mentioned my beliefs to her at all. Plus I was saving the shop money!! What would you have done? Do you think Global warming is an issue or just con

2 + 2 = 4 all agree
6-2 = 4 all agree

Point of View 1:

GOD Created Earth and heaven, and placed man in charge of all beasts and set rules of what is Sin, What is Good, What is Bad?, and when the Sin of men reach a certain point the apocalypse will come and Seas will rise, famine will be there, disease will spread and all humanity will end.

Point of View 2:

Earth was created over 5 billion years ago by fluke of nature and chance humanity is currently in greatest number on earth. And Humanity has reached a point where it is causing global warming and if not stopped we will reach a point the Oceans will rise, famine will be there, disease will spread and all humanity will end.
Peace.

Personally i think there's a problem, not that i'm a tree hugger or anything... but I hear people all of the time saying that it's all bulls**t . Especially during winter... where I live, last winter we had about two weeks of actual winter, (snow on the ground) the rest was slush season, but these people are cold so they think there is no problem.. even though it's only -15 celcius, 40 years ago it was -28 celcius (on coldest of days) in my area.
OR...
is it just a phase, part of a cycle that the earth goes through every century or so...

what triggered this question, is that i was talking to a customer at my business the other day, and he said that although we put so uch **** in the air, mankind only contributes to 5% of the carbon dioxide in the air... I don't know if this is true... but the guy seemed fairly educated, which makes it sound like part of a cycle...

Just interested in others' ideas, or if anyone gives a crap...

We devoted at least half as much time trying to fix something real as we did on something theoretical, like global warming? There is no proof that we will be dead in 20 years if we dont do anything about "global warming." Remember El Nino years ago? if that was happening today, it would be blamed on global warming.

Global warming is also more profitable then people like to think. Companies like Toyota and Honda are see record breaking years. Home manufacturing that specialize in Green building are skyrocketing. The price of an inconvenient truth movie is outrageous, especially since Al Gore "cares" so much.

To me, the funding for this research could be put towards something far more beneficial to society as a whole.

Why do they think that the world being warmer is natural and that, though co2 plays a role its being produced naturally for years? Don't cars produce co2 as well? Cars are not natural they are man made machines. The human population now isn't the same as the past we all are contributing to the co2. Plants are now scarce meaning that less co2 is being turned into o2. And I think that the abundance of co2 before life began is the reason that the earth was so hot before. Isn't that proof?

see global warming is false. Their are two fires going on here in california. Right now in the day it is supposed to be in the 100's, but all the co2 that the fire is releasing is make the temps 5-10 degrees cooler. So if global warming was real, we should be having hotter temps, but because of these fires we are not.

Am I the only person who is against recycling and lowering our smog emissions?

We need to increase the overall polution around the world.

Think about it, trying to save the planet is only doing one thing... it's delaying humanity's unavoidable colonization of outer space.

You selfish tree-huggers are ruining mankind's chance to live in outer space. I'm sure there's a cleaner version of Earth somewhere out there, but we will never get to know thanks to you guys.

All I want is to be able to live in outerspace before I die of old age. Rest assured, that I'm doing everything I can help our colonization into outerspace, I leave the water running while brushing my teeth, I don't recycle, and I refuse to pass my smog test.

Global warming is a good thing. I say we push it even further and turn it into global heating. This way we will have no choice but to abandon this dump for someplace better.

You people make me sick.

Once global warming becomes so out of control that it is economically feasible to do something about it, it will be too late. Nations like the US, China, Russia, ect will never agree on economic restrictions and renewable energy. We live in a society that spends more on war than developing new energy technology. What are our chances?

Boycotting consumption of animal products can make a huge difference, but everytime I suggest it in an answer, I seem to get many "thumbs down." Do you not realize what a vegan diet can do for the environment or is just too much trouble for you?

"“The world meat industry produces 18 percent of the world’s greenhouse-gas emissions, more than all transportation produces. A gallon of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream requires electricity guzzling refrigeration, and four gallons of milk produced by cows that simultaneously produce eight gallons of manure and flatulence with eight gallons of methane. The cows do this while consuming lots of grain and hay, which are cultivated by using tractor fuel, chemical fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides, and transported by fuel-consuming trains and trucks.” —George Will
