LOL! People, lighten up. This is obviously satire.
The sad thing is, I actually know people who have similar opinions regarding our "stewardship" of the planet. Their logic is based on the "coming Armegedon"; so why worry about the planet. It takes all kinds...

Hmm.. wow. Earth hour is a huge-unfold step, an attempt to make a distinction. A attempt. A gesture. Its like rioting / demonstrations. Its just about asking why subject? the government wont hear anyhow. anyhow, i'm specific the persons who promoted Earth Hour additionally do different issues to help decelerate / supply recommendations with Eath hour and inspire people to force much less or use extra useful vehicles... actually they're arising with hydrid vehicles now, and optimistically sooner or later a clean gasoline source or finished electrical energy vehicles... and boost wind means... and nuclear means (besides the shown fact that that produces risky wastes too). in spite of if worldwide warming comes, people will nevertheless stay to tell the story, besides the shown fact that the worldwide isn't the comparable. (extra chaotic climate... possibly an ice age! haha). I even have self belief in the resilience of the human race.. in line with hazard not this custom yet others will certainly stay to tell the story. inhabitants boost isn't the muse OF the subject. OVER intake IS. individuals consume 8x extra advantageous than people in coming up worldwide places. you could killing the planet in 8 people's well worth.

I believe that there really no global warming as described by the news, "tree huggers", etc. I agree that yes, we may be part of the reason the world has been going through these changes, but it is just a normal cycle that the earth goes through. I have one simple question to those who believe that global warming is caused solely by humans; what caused the end of the ice age? When humans did not even exist. That it was possible that the world covered almost completely with ice as believed, melted on it's own? I have experienced that these people always have a easy time answering this, yet begin to second guess themselves based on what they already thought to be true.

In other words, if your neighbours want you out of the neighbourhood, they should dump all their garbarge on your property, in your house, in your vehicles. This way you will go and colonize somewhere else.
It would be very selfish of you to complain - just move.
I think you had better re-think your motivation for exploration and eventual colonization of the vast universe.
The opening up of the universe will start when there is a good profit indoing so; not until. The governments of the world will carry on limited space research and exploration, but the real opening is when big business finds a very profitable venture such as mining rare, precious minerals and gems cheaper than they can on earth.

We (you especially) do not deserve a pristine planet to trash - and we will, breeding like the vermin that we are.
Clearly, you have not thought through the logistics. We will never be able to transport en mass, sufficient numbers to effectively decrease our Earthbound population. Besides, the ones left behind would just continue to crank out babies that they can't afford to raise well and the Earth can't support.
Let's solve those problems and try to salvage what we have before we venture forth to screw up another planet!
And yes, you are a sick, self-important, selfish and ignorant twerp.

If scientists could demonstrate a correlation between loss of one's sense of humor and man-made global warming, then judging by the responses to this question, I'd think they would have the best evidence to date.

Well if we were just to euthanize millions of less desirables then there would be plenty on earth for the worthy without having to colonize outer space. Cmon, if you're going to spout insanity let's go all the way.

LOL, good stuff.
If there's anything I learned from NASA and other space programs is that we SUCK at space travel! I know it's amazing that we can go to the moon but the nearest stars are lightyears away. So unless you have a spaceship that can go warp factor 5 you better start "saving" this planet.
