Why do they think that the world being warmer is natural and that, though co2 plays a role its being produced naturally for years? Don't cars produce co2 as well? Cars are not natural they are man made machines. The human population now isn't the same as the past we all are contributing to the co2. Plants are now scarce meaning that less co2 is being turned into o2. And I think that the abundance of co2 before life began is the reason that the earth was so hot before. Isn't that proof?

though cars back then emitted worse pollution, more people have cars now then back then. Think about it.

Thirty years ago the effects of global warming wasn't noticed.

Its an ever changing world in which we live in you know .

Personally i don't think its co2 holding the heat in or a natural cycle . I believe its something that we are completely looking over or a new phenomena . Maybe some kind of magnetic warming from all the metals we keep bringing to the surface all the towers going up . The earth is like a giant generator maybe we are short circuiting it or maybe by moving the earth around as we do we have been shifting the weight and knocking the rotation balance of the earth off . I'm sure we have moved a few mountains of material. Oh well just a thought about as good a theory as any other Ive herd

"Why do they think the world being warmer is natural?"

There are to many reasons to name, but less use history as a primary example. 438 million years ago CO2 was almost 5000 Parts per million or 12 times higher than it is currently but the earth still froze solid. AGW theory says that increasing CO2 by 30% will melt most of the glaciers and raise sea level by several feet. The graph in the link below clearly shows that climate is not that sensitive to CO2, there are other factors that drive climate. You do not have to search very far for proof that we really have only a rudimentary understanding of the nature of things.

I think that since this issue/question has become a political hot button, that the political parties each put their spin on it. It has become political because there are financial ramifications. Therefore, you have a bunch of exagertated information and misinformation flying both ways. The question is, who stands to benefit more. Since the oil lobby is backing the republicans, I beleive the democrats. Look at history, there were politicians who openly supported slavery and segregation, the dessimation of native americans, and many other things that today we look back and think "wow these people were nuts". I personally believe that burning fossil fuels is bad for the environment. However, because the politicians are involved, I have to question everything said....I personally beleive that our country would be much better off if we started to focus on biofuels. We are the bread basket of the world. We have to subsidize farmers with tax money. What could be better if we became the fuel source for the world with our ability to grow food. And then think who would be against this - the oil companies.....Sorry for the long answer. People reading this probably think I am either nuts, ignorant or paranoid. I like to think I am not, but maybe I am...

Most people I talk to believe in natural global warming and cooling cycles. The ice caps have come and gone many times. The only question most have is regarding the theory that CO2 produced by man is making this cycle warm at a faster rate and will go higher.

We only have a limited amount of data regarding the world climate. We know the world has gone in and out of ice ages and the earth naturally warms and cools in cycles of 10,000 years or more. We don't fully understand these cycles. We have about 200 years of reliable climate data. The earth is about 5 billion years old. We can use tree rings and ice cores to get additional data, but it is less reliable. Most people believe climate change led to the extinction of dinosaurs, but they didn't drive cars or burn coal. Some people believe that humans have a dramatic impact on earth and others believe that we are just a minor inconvenience to the planet and maybe not as significant as we like to think.

Ha! Because when I come up to NJ in JUNE, I freeze my butt off until mid July!

I grew up in NJ, and remember the summers as being HOT. Not so now, some 40 years later!

Cars emissions have cleaned up for the last 30 years or so as opposed to the way they were before, so more population would have evened out the pollution.

Nobody was crying about 'global warming' thirty years ago.

well what i would like to say is that global warming is a reality it is happening due to too much of pollution in the atmosphere and this is causing depletion of the o zone layer that protects us from the UV rays of the sun that are very harmful for our skin global warming is not a joke but a really serious matter and has to be dealt with before it is too late global warming is happening due the people themselves like the gas from cars and factories the CFC gas or emitted by sprays Ac's and refrigerators global warming can also cause a major disturbance in the climatic conditions as weather is becoming more and more difficuilt to forcast and not only that but it can be a disaster if this happens

Cars are not natural because they are man made? Are birds nest natural? They're bird made. Maybe birds are natural, man isn't?

If warming is caused by man, and only caused by man, then you need to explain why it was warmer in the past, before cars were produced.

If you can't, then there must be a different reason for any warming, like natural cycles.

Because when scientists look at ice from ancient history they can see that carbon dioxide has risen after the temperature has risen !! Lots of scientists have researched this and a lot of them do not believe that global warming exists, but of course their research is not shown on the media as if it was lots of scientists who work for the government and rely on global warming to keep money coming into their departments would lose their jobs as everyone would find out the truth.
Also we only think that more natural disasters are happening because there is more media coverage.
(I think its the sun as it has stages when it is hotter and if it gets hotter so do we)

Because it is not real. Hurricanes have happened all through history. Summers are usually hot. winters are usually cold. Rain is normal. Earthquakes are normal. volcanoes are normal. Nothing abnormal is happening.

It is just people making assumptions that they shouldnt be making.

EDIT: Arrhenius discovered the effect of CO2 in the late 1800's. People knew 30 years ago!
