If pretty boy Leo is so concerned about the environment, let him give up riding around in the stretch limos that use three times more fuel than necessary.

Let him tear down his palatial home that requires thousands of dollars just to heat and cool and replace it with a 2 bedroom "habitat for humanity" special.

Let him donate the $15 million salary he got for making this piece of junk movie to a climate action charity of some kind.

As long as his answer is for us "little" people to sacrifice while he wrings his hands and says We're not doing enough, then his efforts will have little effect.

No. They will watch it they think 'Wow, That was really good but it was only a movie.' Then walk away people need to be told on the news because people think that when the icecaps melt the sea will only rise a few metres. And the sea will rise only a few metres but isn't that enough? When the polar ice caps melt the sun will have nothing to reflect on so the earth heats up and because of cars and aeroplanes the gases go into the atmosphere so the heat is traped even more!!

I would guess it would bring at least a little bit. I mean most people like Leonardo Di Caprio so a lot of people will see it. It's a good way to spread a warning.

Hopefully it will bring more social awareness. But the fact is that those who do truly care are doing something about it, and for the rest of us we just hope someone else will be more active about our enviroment. Gore had out a movie about global warming but it still didn't raise too many heads, than the was the documentry of the "Electric Car" still some people notice and others turn their heads. So no out of all people I can't say Di Caprio's movie would bring enough social awareness to count giving the fact others that have spent their whole life dedicated to solving global warming and yet people still don't care.

Guys like Leo must think it's a hoot that people will pay hard earned money to see this stuff.
He will then be even richer and maybe go buy a yacht or a new jet, or maybe host a big Hollywood party and all his buddies will show up in their Limos. Maybe Al G. and M. Moore will attend.

I don't even like Caprio his acting skills stink . But i agree with chocolahoma and dpj5 and i am happy to see more and more people looking at the rich and the energy the use compared to the little guy . Personally I'm sick to death of giving up my life what little i have of it and watching the rich enjoying a full energy consumption life . Why should i give up just for them to use . I just don't get it . Start directing your questions to the rich they need preaching to worse then the common guy most of us are doing our part.

Edit I'm nobodies slave . Are you ?

Nope. People will see it as 'just a movie'. They may feel al 'fired up' and environmentally aware right after seeing the film but the next day, they will go back to their old life.

Also there are the "Global warming is a lie" lobby who seem to think that we can just pollute and do whatever we want with no comeback whatseoever.

So, NO, it wont change a damm thing. Unfortunately!

I agree with 'chocolohoma'. It's easy for the rich to say give up this and give up that. But they are asking us to give up things that are necessities to our lives. Meanwhile how do you think Leo went globetrotting to promote the movie? Limos are not so fuel efficient. Imagine if all the "stars" did half the things they are trying to get us average joes to do. I think that alone would have a huge effect.

I got to go to an advance screening and the film I saw is differant from the one that will be rleased, but unlike "an inconvenient truth" Di Caprios movie is about reducing your carbon foot print. I incredibly inspired by his film and hopefully others will be too....but inspiration is nothing with out action

No. Most thinking adults discount anything that Hollywood celebrities say or do. This is especially true of wussy boy celebs like Leo.
