One of the scarier claims made by supporters of an international climate treaty is that global warming will spawn epidemics of deadly "tropical diseases" – malaria, dengue fever, Yellow fever – not only in countries where such scourges are already entrenched but in North America and Western Europe as well. Many prominent individuals in government, academia, and media embrace the "warmer is sicker" hypothesis. Indeed, some claim the expansion of disease vectors due to global warming is already under way.

Dr. Michael Griffin, "The head of NASA -- the National Aeronautical and Space Association--is "an idiot" and "in denial." He is also "surprisingly naive" and "a fool." With his judgment and competence so lacking, demands abound for his resignation as head of the largest and most accomplished science agency in the world."

"Some might think Dr. Griffin is entitled to think for himself. Apart from his PhD in aerospace engineering, he holds five masters degrees, he is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the International Academy of Astronautics, he manages a US$1.1-billion climate-research budget and was unanimously confirmed to head NASA by the United States Senate."

"But no. He is either "totally clueless" or "a deep anti-global warming ideologue," concludes Jerry Mahlman, a scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, in a statement similar to many."

Global Warming Alarmist dana recently asked two questions suggesting that GW sceptics (“deniers” as he insists on calling them) are ignorant and make unsupported claims. In answering those questions, I pointed out that dana himself was just as guilty of this, and cited as proof the fact that he has quoted the flawed Mann hockey stick graph and claimed that James Hansen’s 1988 guesses of how much temperature would rise by 2000 were “extremely accurate”.

Dana didn’t respond to me in the questions themselves, but subsequently contacted me direct with the following…

I've been looking around at different sites, papers, and science magazines, and what they all have in common is that they all say the same things. In and about 2010-2012 we,that means us as a planet, will be heading into a very turbulent and energetic section of our universe. The ambient radiation of cosmic levels will be higher, more foreign objects such as meteors,or comets, and maybe rogue planets. It seems that science doesn't really know, but it's scary just the same.As far as locally, the Sun is going to go through the largest solar maximum ever recorded. In past maximums borialis phenomenon was at very high levels, and satellites were even knocked offline globally,as well as ground utilities in the west. This next one is supposed to be 50 times more powerful. Also the planet is going through a magnetic wobble, which may switch north and south poles. With all this information and no one really saying anything about it nationally, what are things we can expect to see going on in everyday life?

Part of the project is to ask a speicalist a few questions, so if you are a specialist on Global warming if would be really awesome if you could answer a few questions for me :)

Mainly, I want to know things like:
Do I have to buy/make an extra fuel tank/ engine conversion? How much will that cost?
Are there engines that can run two of the above or all three?
What steps do I have to take to obtain the fuel (I live in Sacramento)? How much will the fuel cost? Will I be saving money, or just the environment?
How much pollution do any of these fuels create?

How can we have a middle class without oil? Someone told me that in countries with high gas prices, there's no middle class. There's just the rich and the poor. I don't know if I agree with that, so here's my real question: When Earth runs out of oil, how can we continue to have a middle class?

A cigarette end is the most environmentally friendly article that you can possibly have:
paper and tobacco which will form a excellent compost and fertilizer.
None of the rubbish that Gypsies scatter about will bio-degrade in a 1000 years.
Why do Local Councils kiss the ar**s of these filth-producers?
We know, of course, that they want to upset the White Middle-Class Workers. But why do they not bother about rubbish?

Did you know that if you drop a cigarette end it is ONE piece of rubbish.
If a Gypsy drops a rusted-out 18-wheeler then that's classed as ONE piece of rubbish!
That's how smokers are made out to be so dirty:
each piece of ash, each match, each tab-end is a seperate piece of rubbish>

"Professor John Marburger, who advises President Bush, said it was more than 90% certain that greenhouse gas emissions from mankind are to blame.

The Earth may become "unliveable" without cuts in CO2 output, he said"

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6994760.stm

Here is Marburger's rather impressive background:

http://www.climatescience.gov/Library/bios/marburger.htm

Basically he's endorsing the IPCC's findings. Why would President Bush's science advisor do such a thing if there were any significant doubt in the scientific community that the IPCC report is correct and humans are the primary cause of the current global warming?

Can any global warming doubters explain this?

I challenge all you green people to find a mode of travel as fast as the airline industry, but which does not produce as much waste. I figured that over 890 barrels of oil are used to create enough JP8 fuel for a 12 or so hour trip by c-130 aircraft. That is a heck of a lot of oil. When washing the aircraft, a fire-hose is used and continuously left on for approximately 4-5 hours straight every night. That fire-hose will produce an average of 70 gallons per minute of water. 70 gallons per minute equals out to be 21000 gallons of water used in a five hour period. That is to wash one aircraft at one airstation around the world. So where is the solution? Should we return to the days of ship travel using the wind?
