Coastlines will be very different, with much land underwater. The standard of living will be lower as a result of the huge expense needed to cope with the changes. Population will be lower, since there will have been food shortages for a considerable time.
We'll still be here, but we will have gone through some very hard times.

A thousand years is a long way out... We are having trouble predicting the next hundred or so. A previous poster stated that all of the fossil fuels will have been depleted, and I agree with that statement for the most part so it makes sense that the earth, regardless of what we do now will be well on its way to recovery by then.
If you are interested in a nearer future I recommend watching "An Inconvenient Truth" while I think some of the facts are a bit skewed the general idea that Al Gore is pushing is right on track with most scientific observations.

An ice age occurs when the planet warms. Why? Because the polar ice melts which decreases the salinity of seawater. That will stop the convection of warmer water to the northern climates. This has happened many times over thousands of years and is well-documented.

Flooding of all low lying areas. Reduced farmland from higher saline soil. Much different rainfall patterns. Much more desert land. A lot of species of plants and animals will be extinct, including ones that benefit mankind. Severe shortages of fresh water. Third world countries will be hit even harder by these.
When oil supplies run extremely low, countries like the United States who think everything is just theirs, will engage in more wars like Iraq over oil.

The earth constantly cools and heats. Its a cycle writen in the landscape.
You have nothing to do with it.

A lot less drastic than Al Gore would like to have us beleive. Just like the shoreline flooding they predict. Mathematically that just does not work. Figure it out.
