Late-Night Jokes About Global Warming
"According to a new U.N. report, the global warming outlook is much worse than originally predicted. Which is pretty bad when they originally predicted it would destroy the planet." --Jay Leno

"The report on climate change said that humans are very likely making the planet warmer. To which Hillary Clinton said, 'Hey, can't blame me for that one.'" --Jay Leno

"President Bush has a plan. He says that if we need to, we can lower the temperature dramatically just by switching from Fahrenheit to Celsius" --Jimmy Kimmel, on fighting global warming

"Scientists say because of global warming they expect the world's oceans to rise four and a half feet. The scientists say this can mean only one thing: Gary Coleman is going to drown." --Conan O'Brien

On this web site there are two pages of jokes like the ones above. I to am concerned about the environment but if you need a break go check the website out. Some of the things there are pretty funny :) / http://politicalhumor.about.com/od/environment/a/globalwarming.htm

So why do so many people think that global warming is a liberal idea? Our cars, home (i.e. electrical plants), boats which transport most of our goods, tractor trailors have no effect on the enviroment. Please help me understand our invinceable foot prints on this earth

In previous generations it seems like the people had something to say and were going to say it no matter what the cost. But today it seems like the younger generation doesn't care about whats going on around them and if they do they aren't saying anything.

I want to know how many people out there care about their environment and the world around them (global warming, the war in iraq, starving people everywhere, genocide in Africa) and I want to know what they want to see happen, what they want to do about it, and how they are going to make an effort.

If you don't care then we don't want to hear from you.

So i was watching this show of the Niagra Falls and they say that a dam was built to help control errosion of the falls and to help preserve the falls for future generations. The water flow is controlled and is flowing a fraction of what it should be. But why do we care what the flow is. Niagra Falls have been around for a while and I am assuming will be around long after I am long gone. And I understand that we create "Green" energy from the falls, But does this lack of natural flow of water prevent the natural water movement. i.e. all the polar caps melting ... lack of water in Lake Ochachobee ... Mountain with less snow. I am not a republican, just wondering what effects a dam has on the enviroment?

I have research paper I have to write about global warming. I believe it's natural causes, since we only have 0.054% CO2 in the atmosphere compared to 95% CO2 from water vapor that is natural. Please give me any sites or facts. Thanks.

I know, its been asked before, but do you belive in global warming? Why or why not? I need this for a report in school. Don't give me the causes, just the reasons you belive it does or doesn't exist.

How bad do you think global warming is?

I've asked 2 questions to global warming skeptics today, and the amount of misinformation I've received in response has been overwhelming. I can't even keep up to refute it all! Stuff like water vapor is what's causing global warming (rather than being an indicator and amplifier), extreme weather events aren't an early indicator of global warming, human activity is only repsonsible for 5% of atmospheric CO2, carbon dioxide doesn't cause global warming, it only follows it, volcanoes emit more CO2 than humans, etc. etc.

Where the heck does all this misinformation come from?

There are many scientists who believe GW is a natural occurrence and that the climate is always changing. When you have 73 minutes to spare, you should check out this documentary. Keep an open mind and consider that they might be right.

I am, by nature, a skeptic. While I accept that the temperature of the earth is rising, I do not subscribe to the global warming hype for two reasons:

(1) The temperature of the earth is constantly changing, as evidenced by the hypothesized 'little ice age' of the late middle ages. I have not seen evidence which directly links increased CO2 output to temperature change. What I have seen is correlation, but correlation does not, of course, equal causation.
Please note that I do understand the means by which CO2 could theoretically have an impact, as per the greenhouse effect.

(2) I believe that EVEN IF global warming is an anthropologic phenomena, we should NOT take steps to reduce pollution. Doing so would hurt our production, and (a) other countries that decided not to change would simply surpass our productive output, hurting our economy and negating our progress,
