The Earth goes through cyclical changes and right now we are coming out of a long cold period, the concern is how fast we're coming out of it. The current warming trends are unprecidented.

What happens when you take a normal warm period, and then make it even hotter by trapping extra heat in the atmosphere?

Someone mentioned the Dust Bowl earlier. That's a good metaphor. Yeah, rainfall goes through cycles in the Great Plains, in fact there is evidence of droughts in the 1700's that were much worse than the one in the early 20th century (we're talking sand dunes roving through where Oklahoma City is now.) But did the Continental Congress get hit by massive dust strorms? No.

A big part of the Dust Bowl was loss of topsoil because the crops planted in the area couldn't stand the drought, and there weren't topsoil conservation techniques in place.

Humans didn't single handedly cause the problem, but we made it a lot worse than it would have been otherwise.

Now, even if Global Warming turns out to be all hype (wouldn't that be nice) too much CO2 in the atmosphere will still have negative effects on costal ecosystems (and therefore fishing, and therefore the economies of costal areas.) CO2 in the air combines with Calcium Carbonate in the water (it's not climatology, it's high school chemistry,) Coral use this Calcium to form the reefs we know so well, but if the CO2 uses all of the CaCO3, then the reefs (and all of the creatures living there) suffer.

So why not ere on the side of caution (hey, now the Democrats are being conservative again, politics goes in cycles too) and reduce smog, Ahtsma, and energy costs while we're at it.

No, it's not a fake, it's also not a major crisis, in fact, there's probably very little we can do to halt or hinder it.There is a warming going on. Over time it will be followed by a cooling, which in turn will be followed by yet another warming and so on. There is nothing to panic about. The world as we know it will not end. We are not all going to perish as a result of this warming trend. Just about everything we understand to date has a pattern. This wave pattern occurs often in nature, including ocean waves, sound waves, and light waves. All of these can be graphed or illustrated with a sine wave, and as a result can then be monitored and analyzed. In the case of global temperature we just don't have enough accurate data yet to ''plot'' a pattern which would help us predict coming changes. Don't forget, the only accurate recorded data we have dates back only about 100 years, everything else is just theories and guesswork.

I'm not sure I understand the wording of your question ... if you are just asking if Global Warming is real or not it is a silly question that has been answered thousands of times. Try the "Discover" button.

If you don't understand the effects our houses, boats and trucks have on the environment there is no use trying to explain it to you. Stay in school!

Personaly, I dont care if the awareness of global warming is liberal or otherwise. Why ? Because it doesnt matter who first brought the problem to our attention. It only matters if we do something about it or not. And as for the absence of web links. Well, speaking for myself, I dont use them except perhaps rarely because what Im answering with is a combination of my own personal opinion and knowledge.

Solar activity is causing an increase in earth temperatures but it is far from a crisis. Mankind is doing the things nature has intended it to do. Technology is a blessing not a curse. The planet is not as fragile as you have been lead to believe.

Blaming the activities of the developed world for made up threats to the earth is very much a liberal passtime. They have been at it form decades now. Whether it was alar in apples or holes in the ozone or a new ice age or the newest one, global warming they are constantly ringing the alarm bell and scaring the hell out of the uninformed.

It goes like this: First someting is discovered to be happening or is alleged to be happening or has always been happening but we never knew it before. Some scientists who's way of life depends on government grants, write a paper about it. The more horrible or catastrophic they can make it sound, the more likey they will receive more grant money to persue it further. And so it starts.

Next, the anti-capitalist socialists get a hold of it. They trump it up even more and add in allegations that the activities of man, especially the men in the United States, are casing or worsening the condition by something we are doing.

Then the well meaning but naive liberal young people get on the band wagon. Filled with the kind of fear that only a lack of knowledge can generate they become useful idiots (a socialist term for those who believe and help spread the lie) for the socialists. The answer is always and I mean ALWAYS to somehow retard the throtle of capitalism and injure our economy.

The fearful young people cry out, " We can't afford to wait for scientific proof. We must act NOW!". Sound familiar? The same scams have been perpetrated for about thirty years now. It rarly fails, though.

There is always a new crop of college students that are being indoctrinated by their socilaist professors to hate corprorate America and see America as the source of all evil in the world. Eventually, most of them realize the truth as their experience disproves the socialist lies. But that's Ok, because just around the corner lurks another "discovery" that will reveal that we in America are causing another crisis that will comsume the world. There will be another bunch of college students and they will cry out "We cannot wait for scientific proof. We must act NOW!".

They cycle continues.

I don't know why people think it's a liberal idea when its not. Global warming is a serious issue that might not affect this generation but will affect the future generation and we have to act now to prevent that from happening.

Saying that Global Warming is a Fake is like saying that there is no war going on anywhere and people live forever. How can you be so ignorant when all around you the evidence keeps mounting day by day. I bet you probably believe in Santa Clause too?

international warming grow to be created via liberals to extract greater tax money from you and companies. Liberals continually prefer a crises, and GW is it. We have been instructed 40 years in the past that of a few thing grow to be not performed at present, there could be no earth via 2000. The liberals and their liberal scientists at the instant are frantic over this, because of the fact they have been shown incorrect. think of roughly it. in case you have been a liberal "scientist" whose grant and earnings depended upon the study of international warming, how could you rfile the findings?

Global Warming is fake. It is just a cycle the earth goes through like the ice age, little ice age, Dust Bowl. Only about 2% of co^2 is from people.
