If your answer is either of two, can you please tell the antonym of the word RIVER?

There are several words in languages other than English which have either masculine or feminine gender and still they don't have antonyms. How come?

"Both my parents are teachers."

Is it right to use the word BOTH ahead of the word PARENTS.

Does PARENTS means both father and mother? If it does, then wouldn't it be improper to prefix BOTH ahead of PARENTS?

So do we have two words: PARENT (either of father and mother) and PARENTS (both father and mother).

2007-04-17 05:29:48 · 4 answers · asked by Ruby 4

... that has something to do with learning, or achieving, or reaching for one's goals, or doing one's best, etc???

It has to have a verb form. And it should sound like a strong word that can stand alone. Like "excel" or "achieve".

Thanks in advance!!!
