Mmmm. Why didnt she just delete your number and not bother ringing you? It depends on what terms you parted really. If you said you would try to be friends then you cant look much further into it-may she was just was just being friendly. You dont say why you split up, which usually gives a good indication of wether someone would want to see you again. If you cheated, for example, she probably wouldnt want to see you. Why she hasnt deleted your number if she didnt want to contact is strnage though-there might be more to her phone call than you realise.

Most probably she feels that she needs to renew her contact with you. Maybe she has had a change of heart after the 6 months' separation from you, during which she might have thought a bit more seriously about the relationship with you and with others thereafter, if any.
She could have deleted your no. but didn't want to, as she possibly wasn't sure if the break-up was final. You could analyze the situation better, as you know the background for your break-up.
(By the way, why is this listed under 'Words and Wordplay'? It should have been in a different category.)

I think she misses you and she will never delete your number just like you said just an excuse.

Maybe she really was going to delete your number but had a pang of regret and decided to keep it. You know how hard it can be for people to let go of relationships.

So I suppose I'm saying "maybe both".

It means she kept your number to fall back on if she ever got dumped.
