Well I used to be one until I realized that being a nonconformist is still making me a conformist because I was conforming to other nonconformist… So it was best for me just to be myself. Wouldn’t that make the term “nonconformist” an oxymoron?

OK me and my friend are fighting about whether truthiness is a word or not. He says that no, truthiness is not a word it is just a word that Steven Corbear made up one day. But, my English teacher told me that truthiness was voted word of the year, so I think it is a word. I keep telling my friend, how can something be WORD of the year if it's not a word? So, I was just wondering is truthiness a word or not, and who is right me or my friend? Thanks!!

Lets say I got into this agrument with a friend. We were talking about lightspeed/speed of light interests. We were talking and I was like, "did you know with speed of light you could go around the earth seven times in 1 sec."

Then that "said" friend was like, "okay, wow you didn't need to give me the definition, I already know what it is." But I was like I didn't. And that "said" friend insisted that I did and then I was like tryin to explain how I think I didn't give a definition or something like that. I simply stated a fact or a interesting trivia, did I not? My friend again insist that it was simply a given when you talk about lightspeed, and didn't need to get all technical. Saying just that is simply a definition already. Then we got into this agrument.

But that not true is it? I mean if I said, "did you know that the speed of sound could go from here to there in less then 2 mins? But does that give you a defintion or somewhat understanding of the speed of soun

What's the word to describe a company or brand's specialty, niche, what makes it unique or sets it apart in its field?

IE: needing a school email address sets facebook apart from myspace; and that is facebook's *blank*

NOT - niche, specialty, unique, characteristic, defining feature, gift, strong suit, forte...

I can't think of the word, and its killing me.
