Ok .. how do i word this correctly on my resume... What should i call a family friend who works for the company i am applying for. accquaintance? colleague??/ help!! I want it to sound classy. Please only serious answers!

As you would be applying for a position in the company, you cannot call this person 'a colleague' as you haven't yet joined the company. It is also better not to call that person 'a family friend' as some employers don't like this.
Maybe the better word would be 'reference'. If you are asked at the interview how you came to give his name as reference. you need to give a proper answer.

Is your family friend acting as a reference for you? If so, just state a sentence at the end of your resume that "References are available upon request." Then, list your friend's name, position at the company and contact information on a separate sheet of paper (along with two other willing individuals - eg: previous employers, schoolteachers, etc.) and only hand this over to your potential interviewer if he/she asks for this.

call them a 'reference' and that u've known them in a certain 'capacity' meaning how u kno them...don't say family friendd tho...something more like former colleague..and then for how many years *all that means 'capacity'
