Technically it is correct, but the words do not flow well for the reader. The word yet implies that you expect to be informed and is used properly your sentence.
In business, perception is reality. It is important that your statements are not only grammatically correct, but are perceived to be correct as well. I suspect someone challenged your comment, hence this question. Although you are not in error, if someone of any importance's thinks you are, it is just as bad.
A slight change could be: "I was saying that I have not been informed yet".

" Yet " sounds so Slang like to me,
plus you don't need it.
