put same question in different category cause it applied to both.

Even better than the main question, is there a teacher on yahoo answers living in detroit that I can get an opinion out of? I seriously doubt it, but it wouldn't hurt.

Please don't tell me to google it, I have. The teachers were supposed to report to work monday before labor day, but was it one week before, two weeks? how long were negotiations going on before the strike?

I was looking into becoming a science teacher or english teacher and i was wondering what courses you need to take from grade 9-12. What marks you need to get accepted into university for that field. And, do you need any specific courses (grade 12 calculise, grade 11 bilogy etc..) Also, how many years do you need to be in university and what degrees do you need to get?

I did a essay on ELizabeth PRoctor for the crucible, I'm terrible at organizaing thoughts so I would really appreciate if you could give me suggestions on how I could make it better, or what you think of it. I'm really trying hard for an A. Oh, and I'll give you ten correct best answers, if that's legal for the person who is most helpful, if anyone actually responds to this lol.

Actually I spelled alot of words wrong, I'm human, give me a break. So yes I know the first improvement for my essay is to spellcheck it.

I'm reading this book about how to become successful in life. See, even if or when ppl struggle in school! They can still succeed and become business men and women!-- And this book I'm reading is teaching me how to have a better attitude about myself and others.

Here are the words I want you to give me a better understanding about: *onslaught, *relentless, *insurmountable, *concise, *turbulent, *myriad, *imperative, *systematic, and *utilizing recepts. Oh! And the meaning of Hindrances. *Self-worth.....

I have found that percentage of older teachers are unhappy in there job. I have seen more and more teachers taking there crap(yelling) out on the students. All I can say to my kids is that it is not them it is the teacher. There's good and bad.( My kids are taught to respect there teachers and are good students)

My son is in Kindergarten and on several hand-outs to the parents there have been quite a few misspellings. There is also a lot of mixing up of same sounding words such as "our" and "are". Her sentence structure is also very basic. I am willing to let that one go because I figure her mind is like that from dealing with Kindergartners all day.
I just would like her to know so she isn't thought of poorly by the other parents.

One of my students wants to present a group brain teaser for a workshop we'll be running, but the question seems a bit odd, so I'm hoping the solution is somewhere so that I can figure out what went wrong with the question...
It goes like this:
You and your friends have been hiking in the jungle when you come to a chasm that is flooded with lava. You realize you can't go back our around the chasm because your provisions will run out unless you cross here. As you're wondering how to cross one of you finds a stone with the following carved into it:
You need to cross the lava? You can! Beneath this stone are some magic boots. Wear the boots and a bridge of stone will form over the lava. Beware, for you may not set foot on the bridge unless wearing the boots! Lastly, one person must remain behind as a sacrifice for using the boots.

There are 5-7 of you and you have to figure out a way not to leave anyone behind! The boots can only be used one less time than the group number.
