Does anyone have any suggestions about plants that grow easily.

Please no answers like marijuana.

I am trying pumpkin seeds right now, but they haven't started growing yet.

I grow grass seeds with my kids. They start to grow within a week or so of planting.

A popular project in my country is to ask kids to bring an empty glass jar, some cotton and black beans. Put the cotton on the bottom of the jar, place some seeds on it and pour water over it. Make sure the cotton has enough water to keep the seeds moist without having everything floating. Place the jar on a sunny spot and wait for the seed to grow. The cool thing about this project is that you can see the seed germinate and grow roots, and the stem.

Sunflower seeds and marigolds are among the fastest growers. Consider a lesson on how growing something in just soil vs. soil plus fertilizers results in a healthier more resilient specimen; much the same as humans NEED vitamins and nutrients to be healthy specimens!! It's all about nutrition!

THEY WILL START TO GROW IF YOU GET A GALLON ZIP LOCK BAG FILL IT WITH DAMP PAPER TOWELS THEN PUT PUMPKIN SEEDS IN THE BAG WITH THE PAPER TOWELS CLOSE THE BAG TIGHTLY AND TAPE THE BAG TO A WINDOW WHERE THE SUN CAN SHINE ON IT THE MOISTNESS WILL HELP IT SPROUT. IN A COUPLE OF DAYS IT WILL BEGAN TO SPROUT AFTER THEY HAVE SPROUTED A LITTLE PLANT THEM IN A POT AND FROM THE POT TO THE GROUND.
