Teaching - October 2006

I need help on how to teach mathematics to 14-17 year old mildly dyslectic children. Can someone direct me to a GOOD link or book on the subject? Please don't ask me to look up the local library. There isn't much available there.

she was sentenced to 18 months in jail for that crime. Now imagine if the genders were reversed? the 14 year old was a girl and the 47 year old teacher was a male how much jail time would have been handed down? I think it would have been way more then 18 months, maybe 18 YEARS, what do you think? This happened in Massachusetts USA

my child is in 1st grade and is learing chats,graphs,tallys, and has to know 265 words to graduate words like (becuase,allways, before) along with the little words like (the, is ,am ,can, fan, cat dog, see, was, is ect.) is that normal i just think its alot for a 6 year old to know he just truned 6 too.... he know how it add and subtract and read some small books but i just think this is tooooo much to throw are a little one, and on thing that gets me mad is that just just showed him how to spell by sounding works out and now that are making them learn sight words!!!!!!!!
