I'm starting an online tutoring service for my new company Children Are First Tutoring Services and I would like to get some people opinion. Is Online Tutoring a good way to help children? Do you or anyone that you know ever used online tutoring? Was it a good experience or a bad one? Are there any ways that you can see to improve online tutoring for children? What are the appropriate ages anyways?

what is your opinion? Should it even be taught? It's not always a matter of if gay marriage is right or wrong, but what's the point in the first place??
The people who go to school in South and North America..either go to a religiouse private school, a private school, or a public school. Therefore the students who go to public schools are not all religiouse. So just because public schools are not religiouse (and that gay marriage is not taught in private schools) why should students learn about gay marriage?..just to be different from private schools..or to show that it exists? And what will we learn from this lesson? It seems like the public school board (or whoever "voted" for students to learn about gay marriage) are forcing students to learn about gay marriage. If "they" see that gay marriage is a normal marriage like a marriage between a man a women...then why should it be taught? I mean I didn't learn about "marriage between a man and a woman" in school.

I posted this question already about 20 minutes ago, but I'm gonna include the questions I need to ask...

OK, I'm a junior in high school taking the Fresno ROP (Regional Occupational Program) class, careers in education because it will help me on my way to be a teacher. My latest assignment is to interview people in the education business, It's only 5 questions.

1 - Name several of the reasons you chose this career?

2 - Of the people you have known that have left education, please state the reasons they gave for quitting.

3 - Name the extrinsic rewards of a career in education?

4 - Name the intrinsic rewards of a career in education?

5 - Currently, how well is education represented in the media?please explain.

The next questions are for my reference.
1 - Where do you teach? (city/state/ school)
2 - WHat is your 'teacher name'? (Mr(s)____)
What do you teach as? (teacher? counselor? College professor?)

Considerin the fact tt I am tertiary student I dont hve many tips as to how to teach these young 8yr olds prper sentence construction or speech skills. Dey r foreigners, so although eager to learn, dey r shy wen it comes to talkin and expressing deir thoughts and reluctant to speak up.
I sincerely want to help dem to improve, any fun ideas, since dey r pretty young, to help dem to speak more in Eng and improve grammar?

Im so excited about this but Im also really nervous. Im so worried the kids will ask me a question, and I wont know the anwser, or Ill tell them the wrong anwser. like today when the kids were studing leaves and one of the kids asked me why there was a whole in her leaf. I told her a worm ate through it, because thats what worms eat. WORMS! I meant catapillar, and I told her a second later, I meant a catapillar, but Im sure she wont be asking me a question anytime soon. lol and when the teacher was tryin to get everyones attention, but they were looking at a butterfly, I tried to be like "hey guys, lets go over and hear what mrs.arthurs saying." but they ignored me. I dont want to be weak so they dont respect me, but Im not good at being in charge or anything like that. I feel so incompetent, and I know theyre just 1st graders... I shouldnt be so worried.

Today I got a call from my district office and I was offered a long term substitute positon at a charter high school. I will be teaching ninth grade algebra and geometry.
Last year I had a bad experience with a long term for seventh and eighth grade science.

I think this will be better since I'm starting the school year and these kids actually want to be there.

What would you suggest? Any tips from any teachers or long term substitutes.
