If you have experienced colleagues, listen to their advice.

Basically, it is connecting with the pupils and showing that you care for them.

Some come from broken families and need the love that you can show to them.

Smile, relax, and be yourself. Incorporate play into studies.

Study the pedagogy literature and see how you can apply those theories into reality.

the only advice i can give is to make it as interactive as possible. i have always been able to learn more by being hands on. try and relate to the kids. maybe try and find a way to teach it in a way they will remember. like for instance, and idont know if this is that great an example for what im trying to say but, since i have always had a hard time with math, if and when i ever have kids im going to be singing the multiplication tables and stuff like that ya know? their lullabies will be arithmetic.

teachers can get better at what they do by simply understanding their students better in the sense of - being more like a friend than a bossy teacher.
Update them with new info - like what the kids in other countries are doing and how different and similar they are to those kids.
This will widen their knowledge. And trust me ,if they share their opinions and knowledge in the class , the gap thats between the teacher and the students slowly gets closer.

i think teachers need to bring in fresh ideas to the classroom, not the same things year after year. incorporate more crafts and arts into everyday teachings, use games as reinforcement for teaching and get parents super involved in the class
