This might seem silly but I would like a broader opinion. My friends and I have been conducting a survey and I'm going to kill her if I'm wrong. Please don't say both.

My youngest has just started secondary school, we have had a few teething problems with him being in the right place at the right time, and getting his head around the volume of homework etc. I have just found out his class are on reception duty, this means he misses the last lesson/s of the day (Great for kid, missing lessons!) to help the reception area of the school with 'Jobs' that may need doing, yesterday he was shredding rubbish. If the school receptionist/secretaries are short staffed they should get a temp in! He missed Science to do this, and now has to find out whether he missed any homework set that lesson.....er am i mad, but should he not have been in the lesson anyway?

Im currently doing year 12 at school and im aporled at the english sylabis, they dont teach how to read or wright or even spell anymore, they have staff rooms full of socialogists who dont teach us the things we need for society and to obtain a job, rather they teach us about communist ideas and idealistic ways of society, and i would love to know why we are learning this? This isnt english, fiar enough if people want to learn this than they should have a class for socialolgy, but english should be left for english. and what makes worse is its compulsory, why is this so? i dont need to learn about the chips these people have on their sholders from society.
