I have had a hard time early on in the semester. I attend a community college. I was ill for the first time in years a few weeks after the semester started and missed a few classes. Then last week I had my wisdom teeth extracted and the pain has been horrible. I missed last Friday, Monday, and am planning on staying home tomorrow. It's not that I'm making something out of nothing, I am in constant pain! Furthermore, my dad died several months ago and I've been depressed. I can't seem to buckle down and stick with school. The thing is, I'm feeling really guilty about missing these classes. I've sent my professors emails explaining the situation and will show them documentation of the surgery, but I feel really worried. Is it wrong of me to take tomorrow off? If I do go, I'll be in pain all day.

I am a junior in high school and my school system requires all juniors and seniors to compose a senior exit research paper and product. I need help with topic ideas. We can pretty much pick anything we want as long as you can create a product along with it. The topic cant be controversial and it cant be about diseases. I want to do something in medicine, because i am very interested in it. but i wont be able to create a product dealing with this area! Can anyone help pick out some original topics for this project? I am in the process of changing careers. I have a master's degree in Biology and i want to get into Speech Pathology and Audiology. I have always had an interest in this field, i don't even know why i never took it in the first place.
I am in Southern California and i am looking for a good school to take a master's program in. I am thinking of first taking a masters in Speech and language pathology and then a doctorate in Audiology. For those of you in this field is this a good mix is it worth it in terms of future income, work and demand? My other question is that most of the schools i have looked at in the S.C area offer an M.A instead of an M.S does this matter when i start to work? Other schools offer an M.A in Communicative disorders is this different from Speech pathology? Lastly are there any schools you can reccomend around this area?
