The only way that you can get better in school is have a little more motivation to do better. Life isn't going to just hand you everything you want. If you want better grades, you are going to have to work for them. You need to set a goal...some kind of academic goal. It doesn't have to be a huge goal...maybe something small to start off with....say...doing 10 minutes of homework...when you reach that goal, make another goal...and so on. Ultimately, it is up to you to have the motivation to become a better student. Ask yourself where you see yourself in a few years...I had the same problem. I was in high school...an average student, but I really didn't know why I was in school. I didn't see a purpose. I had no idea what I was going to do my senior year of high school. I know that I had to go to college, but I didn't have a major picked out. After reflecting on my experiences, I decided to become a teacher. So that is what I do now. I teach. I am motivated to be a teacher. I like to be able to see my students learning and progressing. It is a very rewarding profession. All you need to do is ask yourself what you can do to get that motivation to become a better student.

If you want to improve as a student, here you go...
#1. Show up to class and listen
#2 Math, Do the Homework! And go to a free tutor.
#3 For multiple choice tests: Eliminate questions you know are wrong.
#4 True or False questions Most all or none questions are false.
#5 Studying/homework Find quiet place that has good lighting, keep studying and improve momentum, the more time you spend the easier it becomes. Get focused, eliminate everything in your mind but studying tsake five minutes before studying to close your mind and focus on nothing breathe continuously and stare at one point allow your mind to focus on nothing, when you fade out vision goes dark and nothing is in your mind start thinking about study materials and organize your thoughts and proceed on prioritizing work load. The key to learning how to study is setting time aside each day and be persistent. Just like working out start small and work to getting better. The momentum you achieve in persistence is attainable by not giving up. Then it becomes easier.
#6 Writing papers, Start with an introduction...the introduction should have an opening statement explaining the paper quickly and the topics to be covered. Next, the body should incorporate credible sources to explain or convey the paragraph. The Body should give the reasons for your findings and data for your research. Next , the end of the paper should end with a concluding paragraph, and have a closing or concluding statement identifying the results or explaination of your view or findings.
#7 Good Luck!

First and foremost is you have to be motivated to study. It can become tedious but you must stick through it. I approach my homework like a job. There are deadlines that I have to meet and my payoff is my grade.
Best way to study is to organize your day. Figure out how much work you want to do for each subject. The closer the due date, the higher it gets on your priority list.
Also don't forget to ask questions. If you don't understand, ask. Chances are somebody was thinking the same questions you had.
If you want to be a better student, you need to start caring about homework and want to do better in school otherwise you'll never be a better student.

Sorry Charlie.
there is no free lunch in this world.
So don't complain when you are working some horrible job for horrible wages and hate going to work every day. Because getting fake bad grades doesn't cut it.
However I am sure you will not mind driving some really crappy car and living in some really crappy apartment for the rest or your life and listening to your wife complain because you don't have anything. It will also be a real treat going out to Dennys as the real big event every month.
So I would say. Keep laying around on your butt don't do anything and when your parents finally get enough of you and throw you out then you can complain how unfair the world is and how you deserve this and that.
NO FREE LUNCH. EITHER WORK OR SHUTUP.

The fact that you asked this question means you do care! Perhaps you are getting older and can see the benefits of a good education. Keeping your mind focused on your goals helps you. Ask at your school if there are study skills courses. If not, find the best student you can find and tell him/her you will take them out for lunch if he/she will teach you their organizational and study skills. If nothing else, keep looking at this and it will keep you going

Wow. You don't care? Then why bother? I think grades are domino's of what happens in your life.
And you can't. You have to work for what you get.
And this is coming from a student.
No not all A's.
I get all A's and B's.
Its quite easy.
JUST TRY.
