I've been jumping around from major to major, college to college, and cant find anything thats satisfies me.
I've been in school for nearly 3 years now, and I'm taking a break this next semester.

The problem is, I hate school and really dont want to go back. But I'm no fool. I know people need a full degree to get even the simplest jobs these days.

I need some form of assurance that people without a college degree can make something of themselves. That they can be successful and/or financially comfortable without a degree.

What can people do nowadays, in order to survive, as someone who did not complete college? What direction could they go in? What fields could/should they pursue? What can people do for themselves to be successful without going to school?

I just want some perspective here.

I am going to be a freshman this year and I have no idea what high school is like. I took a tour of my school but it only made matters worse. The school is huge and I'm afraid I'm going to have trouble finding my classes. To make things worse this year because of financial problems, our school board ordered 7th and 8th graders to join the school. It is going to be very crowded and extremely complicated. Can anyone help?

You alone among many of a different "race" and religion? Did it open your eyes? Did you see things from a different perpective? Wasn't it a positive experience in the end? (Please I do not want to hear from Christian Missionaries who only go to these communities to convert the "heathens" and therefore miss the point of living)

Seriously, they cannot force me to do anything and the test scores do not affect our grades in anyway. Is there any reason I can't just refuse to take them? Just so you know I live in Idaho, I'm going into my freshman year and plan to keep my grades up otherwise. The tests I will be taking are the ISATs or Idaho Standardized Achievement Tests. The take valuable time out of our school year and do not affect our grade. Do you see any reason why I cannot just say, "no"?
