I recently graduated from Gila Bend High School in Gila Bend, Arizona. The town is hot as hell, and has a population of 2,000 people. It's my first time living going from a small community to a large community. I'm now in Phoenix College.

Surround yourself with a good group of friends. Try bonding with the people you live with, if you're dorming. Just keep yourself busy; you have school, a social life, and you can try to get a job or do some extracurricular activity. Having that small close-knit group will help you feel not so lost in such a large community. And if you ever get homesick, make sure to give your family and old friends a call once a week or so. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.
