Ok. I used to want to be a vet tech. But I realized that I love animals to much, and I would have to deal with sick animals, and putting animals to sleep. My sister is a vet tech, and thats what she wants me to be.

I'm 14, going into highschool, so I know I have a lot of time to decide, I just want to know so I can decide what classes I want to take in highschool.

I think I want to be a nurse that takes care of new born babies. Because the pay is good, and I like babies, you dont have to go to college for long. But every idea I have my sister shoots down, shows me all the negatives, not the positives. She only wants me to be a vet tech, but I dont want to be. How do I deal with my sister and decide what I want to do when I grow up?

I've been diagnosed with a diability called Neurological Impaired, when I was a little girl. I've had Special Education and Resource Room Classes and Adaptive PE/Health, etc, in high school, and had some like it even in some college classes . Neurological Impaired is when the messages from the brain comes out differently on paper and/or on the computer screen. I'm just curious to know what's your advice for me. (I'm not sure what category and subcategory this would be under.)

i am a highly intelligent individual yet i havent challecged myself to leran anything new since taking early childhood development classes... i want to gain the skills necessary to find a decent career where a can work 30 hours or so a week when my child starts school.....i would like to end up working at home, but could pull off 20-30 hours per week....i could go and get a degree....but in what? i need ideas ...i dont want to short change myself or my child by ending up in food service, retail, or office temp
