Just be nice, friendly, and above all...be YOURSELF!!! Don't try to make yourself into something you're not. Get involved, there will be LOADS of opportunities to get involved with pretty much anything you want. Explore new interests. Extra-curricular activities are how most high school kids build their circle of friendships. Most importantly, remember that your grades are now going on a transcript that will be sent off to colleges in a few short years when you start applying...do yourself a favor now and get the best grades you can in the most challenging courses you can take. You'll be glad you did when college application time rolls around. Good luck!!!
p.s. be prepared to take a little, good humored ribbing from the upperclassmen...my daughter and her group are planning a few things earmarked for "the freshmen" on the first day. Remember it's all good natured fun!!!

At first finding all the classrooms is hard. It'll feel like you don't know most people but after a week you will get the hang of it. Join clubs you're interested in and keep in touch with your middle school friends. Be yourself and don't worry because other people are as nervous as you are. It's not that different from middle school. Upperclassmen aren't that mean but they can still be intimidating. You will be fine so good luck with high school.

Don't be nervous because you are NOT the only freshman there, there will be everyone else in your class. You should really focus on your studies, freshman year is the first year that colleges look at when accepting students and you don't want to give bad impressions. Get good grades and join some clubs, which will look good on an application and will help you to make some new friends. Don't do anything that might hurt your reputation because whatever nickname you get when your a freshy will stick with you. Please dress modestly and comfortably.

lol dont ask a student for directions ask a staff member. us upperclassmen find it funny as hell to watch a freshman get lost or to tell them their class is on the other side of the school when its just two doors down... why? cause its funny and it makes u learn where your class is faster. But in all reality dont go in being nervous dont be afraid of being late the first couple of days dont worry bout gettin picked on cause even though u will get picked on it wont be to bad itll just be in good nature. dont go in actin like your all that or else people will hate u right off the back dont act like your not a freshman, every one can tell who is and isnt a freshman. but dont worry itll all work out eventually

Don't. Follow people. Lead People. Don't have sex and do drugs and get wasted .... even though I'm sure that those things will be available. try to do something to embarrass yourself every once in a while. participate in pranks (good pranks on friends...not putting shaving cream in an enemies locker)....but don't get caught.

Don't believe everything that the uppercalssmen tell you. They kept telling us that the swimming pool was on the thrid floor when the school was only 2 floors and we didn't even have a swimming pool.
