I've been diagnosed with a diability called Neurological Impaired, when I was a little girl. I've had Special Education and Resource Room Classes and Adaptive PE/Health, etc, in high school, and had some like it even in some college classes . Neurological Impaired is when the messages from the brain comes out differently on paper and/or on the computer screen. I'm just curious to know what's your advice for me. (I'm not sure what category and subcategory this would be under.)

What's a normal life? Life is life, the most important thing you should know is to live it !! With all the might you have....My son has cerebral palsy, his brain is affected also.....but he knows that he's special, a gift, a treasure and so should you.....So don't long for what you call a "NORMAL LIFE" have a desire to live the best life that YOU CAN.......And that can be accomplished by seeking God, maybe he wants to heal you, maybe his desire is to let you have this struggle to help others after you who will struggle equally...CELEBRATE YOU.....all of you, from head to toe...God sees you and he knows you, and He says....."It is Good"..if only for a season...your life .....is what it is!!! Embrace It!!

Each disability is different as is each person with it. It is only becomes a handicap if you do not try to work with it. Let me tell you a story. Many years ago when I was stationed in Colorado. the head of the V.A came to Fitzsimons to talk to us about disabilities. He stood up on the stage and looked out to a theater full of G.I.s with amputations, blind, maimed and otherwise "messed up" and called them all a bunch of cry babies.
They began to boo, as he went on he sat down on the edge of the stage and removed his right leg, it started to get quite, but there were still boos. After a few more minutes he took off his other leg, more silence. This went on for about 5 or 10 minutes with him still saying it was up to them not to cry but to do something about it. Finally when he was done he sat there with no legs, no left arm and only two or three fingers on his left hand. He then said, Look at me, ten years ago I stepped on a land mine in Viet Nam and today I head the Veterens Administration. He got a loud ovation from the crowd. This man had disabilities and he learn to deal with them. That is how you have to deal with them. Do the best you can and then move on.

Obviously, you can't be too severe to be able to put this question on the computer. If you look at other questions with spelling and grammar errors, you're doing just fine. You'll make it!

(I'm wondering if the doctors are talking about dyslexia. This is very common. Often it gets better with age and it is hereditary.)

My best bet would be to consult your doctor in advice. I don't know.
