i am about to go into HS & i have gone to private school since i was little. i like the public high school near me, but i wonder if i'll get a better education at a private HS. What are ur suggestions. any experiences in either are appreciated!

Schools vary so widely that it really depends on the individual schools. In general students in private high schools perform better on standardized tests and things like that, but that doesn't mean there aren't some very smart kids in the public schools as well. Public schools are often bigger, and bigger schools usually have more options for advanced classes and better electives.

well i have been in the public school system 4 a long time. my brother went 2 a private school 4 a while and his grades did not go up. so i think private schools just want more money

Each school is different. Some private schools are college preparatory so they may have a better curriculum and some are just regular schools. As far as education, I don't think it matters. I know some people who went to public school all their lives and are brilliant and I know some who went to private schools who I wonder how they even graduated....and vice versa.

Through personal experience, my private school left me severely behind in some courses. Plus, in my school I couldnt pick classes to specialize in (ex. business)

high school sucks get home school do not go to public school. mayb u should stay at private school.
