Not necessarily. It's an open-ended information source. Some of it is opinion. Some of it's fact. People can add to a given person/subject at any time. You may notice on some articles that others have questioned the neutrality or accuracy of the current topic.
It's a good place to start research, just be aware that it's not necesarily 100%.

Not everything on the wikipedia website is true . Remember it is an open source website so basically anyone can make changes. But it's constantly being patrolled so people will fix things that are obviously wrong. There was a study published in i believe Science magazine. In that study, Wikipedia and Britannica had the same amount of mistakes. But if you are trying to do a research paper, wikipedia isn't a real good source in your teacher's opinions. Use the links to find better sources.

While Wikipedia can give you a lot of information and most of it is verified, as mentioned, it is best to cross check everything you read there. Many articles are written by scholars and professor on subjects but even they can get denied while others, of less education, are not.

no its not.. its an open website.. you can go on the webiste and post articles. I think they do verify some of the content on there but the database is so huge, they may never get to one article. You are better off checking other sites to be sure.
