Remembering back I can say that I thought time was passing me by. I could not do enough or be everywhere I wanted to be.
Being older I now know that I had more than enough time and would have made fewer mistakes if I would have been more patient. I say to all young people. Slow down, and keep your more logical priorities in line.

If u just go in and be your self u shouldnt have any problems dont try to be something your not and dont try to act like your untouchable or something. Don't act bad cause then your gonna get put in your place. BUT most of all dont sweet it have fun and try to make some friends high school aint that bad. but for the first quarter or so dont forget you are a freshman dont try to be any thing else.

Your on a short road of a long highway, Nothing stays the same and in life the only thing of your school days that matter is what and how much you learned. The people and the acceptance of others does not matter at all.

Bullies - Bullies don't look for fights, they look for victims. So if you want to be left alone by bullies you need to carry and dress yourself in an assertive way, by standing tall, keeping your eyes on the level (not staring at the floor), etc. And should they pick on you, they need to learn there will be a price to pay, and by that I don't necessarily mean a violent one. Finally, you have to be consistent. Bullies won't bother you on a great day. They'll bother you the day you feel sick and tired and ready to fall over from exhaustion. You have to be ready and willing to stand up for yourself at any time no matter what and they need to know that. Being with somebody makes you a less likely target too, which brings us to the next topic.
Friends - If you know who you are and can just accept that and put that forward then people will admire your strength and courage and will want to hang with you. Although, its still a good idea to work on improving yourself, make sure you're still yourself! I think people like to be around positive, funny and confident people. When I cultivate those traits I find people just end up in my life without my really having to try. Also, if you want to be accepted by others, its a good idea to be accepting of them. Being judgmental is really unattractive. It makes people feel small, limitted and even fearful to be around somebody who is outwardly/excessively judgmental.
Personally I find that my goofy humour, willingness to make fun of myself, and sensitivity towards / acceptance of others, win me a lot of popularity. It intimidates insecure people and they mistake 'nice' for 'weak'. Hostility is difficult to deal with. But keeping in mind that what they're usually really saying is something like, "I'm feeling insecure, hurt, and scared!" can help.
Don't waste time trying to impress or join the 'cool' people. Chances are if you think about it, you don't even like them anyways, I mean, does anyone? 'Cool' people are usually cool because of things that have nothing to do with who they are. It's usually because they're wealthy and attractive. Their confidence is usually false and they are often immature which explains their tendancy to be cruel and ugly to others.
Getting involved in things your interested in helps with making friends too, and friends help you get through school.
Finally, don't withdraw. School is a great chance to develop your interests and get ready for adult life. If you think its hard now, withdrawing will only make it harder later. If you're not happy or confident, sometimes you just have to fake it until you make it.

i think the first thing you should do is when you first get there pick the biggest baddest motherfuc*er in the place. once you picked that sucker - go up to him and just start to beat the living sh*t out of him. this will get you respect. no one will fu*k with you're a$$ after that. the money, power, and respect will soon follow afterwards. the hos are also a bonus!

Just don't kill yourself, get in a car with a drunk driver, drive while intoxicated, have unprotected sex, or get in any gang fights and you should live through it. Live through it in the literal sense.
