I have decided to home school my daughter when she enters middle school because I think that those are the hardest years for a kid. If I do HS through 6th 7th and 8th grade, can I still put her into a local High school, What requirements would there be in order to register her and prove that she was school for the 3 year absene?

I have a 13yr old niece who has just come into my care - her spelling is horrible! Question is: How do I teach a 13yr old how to spell? and where do I start? She spells everything, exactly how it sounds. Example back is bak, stomach is stumak, girl is gil, mountains is montons - please help! Aside from schooling issues (subjects) I have NO other problems with her. She is a great kid - just appears like noone has ever spent any time teaching her.

#1 The way a story is told and the voice that tells it are important parts of a story. Choose at least two stories from Collection 3. Analyze the role that the narrator plays in each story. Consider whether the narrator's level of knowledge is limited or omniscient, and whether or not the narrator is reliable. Finally, analyze the narrator's impact on the story's message or overall effect

#2 One of the special gifts of fiction is its ability to allow us to walk in someone else's shoes and learn though a character's experience. Which short stories in Collection 4 helped you to discover something new about yourself, other people, or life? Explain what you discovered and the reasons for your discovery. Be sure to describe how the development of character and theme enhanced what you learned from at least two stories in Collection 4.

# 1 A surprise ending to a short story only works when that ending is believable. The writer must carefully prepare readers for what is to come, supplying hints about the resolution without revealing it. Using two different stories from Collection 3 of your text, describe foreshadowing and surprise twists. Use one story title for each writing technique and briefly explain how each technique is incorporated into that story.

2# Writers often communicate their themes by building clues into the story. Choose one story from Collection 4 and show how the author uses characterization, title choice, and key passages to develop the theme of the story. Use examples from the story, including quotes from the key passages you choose.

I am a young mom with a 7 1/2 month old. I plan on having more children and would love to homeschool but I would like to get started with reading and researching now. Are there any specific books, articles, magazines, conferences...etc? Any good advice?

For the last two years I've been homeschooling, I have the records and my work is in folders, but we never have filed the homeschool affidavit.

I'm going to have transcripts from private schools that account for all the credits I need, and I could provide report cards, but is the lack of filing the affidavit going to be a problem when I go to college?

I'm reading that she was put in a psych ward by the German govt because she likes homeschooling - they diagnosed her with school phobia. I can only find articles on this on minor publications that have a right-wing bias, so I'm looking for mainstream sources or original documents to confirm.

How would you rate these ways of rearing your child?
on a scale of 0% to 100% meaning that

100% is the best rating and that you would highly recommend this option.

Copy and paste these concepts so that it is easier to understand your answer. Ad a concept or two if you really feel you have some better ideas.

Spare the rod, spoil the child....

Never spare the rod. A child must always to what they are told no matter their age, no matter the circumstances.

Spoil a child with everything the child wants and needs.

Take the child to the library once a month.

Take the child to the library every day.

Send your child to an expensive school.

Teach your child to read.

Teach your child to study.

Be a loving example to the child

I'm interested in home schooling my children my oldest is 6years old. He attended kindergarten this year and I might pull him out to homeschool him. I don't know what is best right now. It's a big responsibility. His current school has a charter school. I don't know what that is or what my options are living in Modesto CA.

I will be homeschooled next year and I have a problem with that. There this site that my mom found, it's just about homeschooling, it's not a real school (I'm not sure), but they provide homeschooling for children. Anyways, my sister will tutor me for the next two years, the problem is that she has her own problem, she still have to go to work and continue. My mom and dad are busy, so they don't have much time for helping me study. I am concerned for my sister. I don't want to be a hindrance from persuing her dreams. What should I do? And if I study alone, however, they don't trust me if I could really do it. So, I really don't know what to do!
