I don't want to go to school. Because I didn't do my homework. I am doing it right now, but I still have gillions of things to do. I might be able to finish it, but I'll be so tired at school I bet I'll fall asleep right in the middle of the hallway. But if I miss, I'll have to make up tons of work and be behind and stuff. Grrr...any suggestions?

*Who teaches your child(ren)?
*What are those person's qualifications to teach?
*Does your child(ren) learn phys ed., art, and music? By what means?
Do you believe that by homeschooling you are giving your child an overall better learning experience?
Do you think your child is ready to face the real world?

I'm most interested in the first three questions.
I don't have children nor do I plan on homeschooling my children. I am simply trying to learn more about it.

Ok, I'm in Algebra 1. It is sooo hard! I'm home schooled. Last year I was able to teach myself how to do inriched Algebra but, I can't seem to teach myself how to do Algebra 1. I don't want to tell my parents because then they would get mad plus make me to do it anyhow. HELP!! I'm so frustrated! What should I do?

Why is it so hard for society to accept those who graduate from a classroom-based school to those who homeschooled? Sometimes people don't talk about it, but I do find this is discriminating for those who homeschooled and earned their degrees honestly.

Are these kids being left to do this on their own..what kind of future are you giving them in that situation? Honestly, unless I was a 12th grade school teacher, or higher, I would not trust myself to provide all my childs education. What about all the different social situations you have to learn to deal with for the rest of your life? Who approved this, and who is "over seeing" it so that so many of our youth are not falling behind in "how to live with and deal with other people?" Test results don't really reveal that. Please enlighten me...I just want to know how people justify this? I know I couldn't do it.

This question is mainly for parents that have decided to homeschool their children.
What was your reasoning for homeschooling?
What do you think your child can gain from homeschooling that they can't get at a public or even private school?
Was your child previously enrolled in a public school but you took them out to homeschool them?

I am planning on using this philosophy for my child's education - in fact we already do so. She will not be attending school. I am looking for comments from people who are familiar with this philosophy and who have practiced it. Please, do not comment unless you are familiar and/or experienced with this type of homeschooling.

I'm homeschooled and pretty much have to be my own boss. Does anyone know how much studying I should be doing in a day? Like how much do you get done in high school, how many chapters of certain things should I do. I think I'm really behind in my work and need to get this done. Thanks I hope my question isn't too confusing.

I love using home-made educational games and have made well over 1000 games while teaching my three children. I am now working with my grandsons. I also teach workshops on making games for learning. I would love to hear about educational games others have made and use in their homeschool.
