I found it easy as well. The only nervousness was (naturally) starting something new.
Honestly, wether you're learning at home or in a classroom I found college wasn't much different. Also, since it was new to me I wasn't sick of getting up and going to school. (although that feeling can wear off rather fast! lol)

My daughter was homeschooled from the 4th grade thru High School. She then went to College and is now a senior in a pre-med program at the University.
She was very focused and diligent before, so she had no problems adjusting. She felt excited, because she knew this was the "serious" stuff.
She has won essay contest, is an honor student and is receiving a scholarship as well.
The more you prepare for college, the better. Social skills were never an issue with her. Your preparation in English, Math and Science should be very strong, this is true for everyone. Know how to organize your time and how to properly choose friends or study-buddies.

I was homeschooled for the last two years of high-school. I found it easy to adjust to university as independent learning, time-management and self-discipline are all important attributes of university students. I am studying a bachelor of laws and so far have received fairly good marks.
However I know quite a few people who were homeschooled their entire lives who have had difficulty adjusting. By never being in a class-room environment before, they have problems sitting through the lectures. They also do not always have the social skills to cope at uni.

First, you call the universities you're watching & ask what they want from domicile schoolers. it particularly is extremely significant. MAKE touch WITH the universities! clarify your concern, ask them how they're going to artwork with you. Then, you may take your SAT &/or ACT, then you particularly deliver your scores, your information, & the rest the universities ask for. i began taking college classes at sixteen (concurrent enrollment). I did particularly nicely, i think of. Getting letters of concepts did no longer grow to be a concern. i did no longer get a rejection letter from any of the universities I utilized to. i individually have been given some extraordinarily sturdy scholarships. i'm going into technological expertise. domicile schoolers are by technique of no means limited. on the different, we are self sustaining inexperienced persons, & the entire international is open. sturdy success with each and every thing. observe: i've got heard of faculties requiring a GED from domicile schoolers. jointly as I refused to coach to them, in the event that they're the appropriate college for you, you may to boot decide for it. it particularly is superb to no longer take a GED, yet once you'll be able to desire to, you'll be able to desire to.
