I need a good math tutor in Hot Springs Arkansas area. I can't go to Sylvan as the nearest Sylvan is in Little Rock Arkansas.

I completely agree about Sylvan. They are in business to make money, I speak from personal experience.
Check your library. The librarian may know someone that would be willing to tutor your child.
Another place is your local rec center. Ours has homework helps, and you may find someone there.
If you belong to a homeschool group, ask them. You may have a math genius in your group that could use some extra money.
If you don't have a lot of extra cash, you may be able to barter with another mom in your group. She helps your child with math and you help her child with something you're good at.
Also, your church would be a good place to check around. We have teaching students that meet with kids before our Wednesday services just for experience and just because they love kids so much.
This should net someone for you.

Ask your teacher at school. Many teachers tutor to help supplement their income, or they would know how can help you. Sometimes they know of a talented student that can help.
edit: I meant a teacher at a nearby school.

Sylvan sucks anyway, and they charge you up the butt.
