I am a 27 year old male. I have been working full time for a nonprofit making $33k a year. I am also half way to getting my bachelors. During the past couple of years I have been going part time to school which has worked out ok. I am getting to the point now where it is becoming more and more difficult to get classes that work with my schedule. So I am considering quitting my job at the end of this year so I can give my all to finishing school. Financially, I have $30k in savings, my rent and billls are very low. . I also make a few hundred bucks a month selling on ebay on the side which pays my bills and allows me to not use any of my savings, I don't pay rent cause I do snow removal and grass cutting for my building. My job would not allow me to go to part time. I am a very smart person but in the past have made some bad choices when it comes to school work etc. I am going for a degree in finance & accounting. What should I do?

I had an instructor insult me the other day when all I did was go to her for help. I didn't say anything to her about it then but I plan to say something once the final grade is in and I did not give her a good eval when the school asked to rate the class. I think her behavior was totally unwarranted and that is all I want to tell her. I was just wondering if I can get put on probation for this?

I took an on-line class at a University my brother and sister are alumni at. My brother made the school alot of money as he was there top debater for a nationally known debate team. I attempted to drop the course one day after taking the class, and I never went on-line. Could I have a chance by writing the University to ask for a refund?

So I just got off the phone a bit ago with one of my best buds, and I'm really worried about him. He's been suspended academically from the school before, and just came back this semester. He was upset because he just took his second final today and is almost positive that he failed the final, therefore the class as a whole. He's worried that he'll be kicked out again, so what can he do? I told him maybe he could go to an adviser tomorrow and withdraw from the whole semester (he only had 12 hours). Is that even possible to do? It calmed him down, but I'm worried I gave him false hope. Please help.

I'm applying to 12 colleges but my counselor told me he would only fill out 5/12 recommendations. So I'm thinking about forging his signature...Is there a way the colleges could find out?

Hi guys
i'm a freshman in highschool right now, but i'm really concerned about my chances of getting into a good college. my current gpa is 3.6 and i am in math club and going to do soccer in the spring. i am currently taking all periods and no off periods and plan to do that for my entire time at the high school. i am going to join key club next year, and play tennis and either basketball wrestling. i think this will help my chances in getting into a good college. also, i'm only a freshman, so i still have time to raise my gpa and get in community service hours. i know colleges are looking for people who stand out from the crowd. i have a youtube account and make vlogs, and now everyone in the school knows me. does that count? what else should I do?
please tell me all the advice you can give me!!!

I'm not really sure what i want to major in, i mean, i have ideas, but no definite answer yet. the careers i choose are so far apart on the food chain, that its strange how two opposites are what I'm interested in.

my first choice has always been criminal justice (forensic/ crime scene investigation)

my second choice is not even closely related. Culinary. I always dreamed of owning my own restaurant, and being the head chef.

i am aware that i will be able to change my major as many times necessary, but i want to know how i can actually choose what it is i want to do for the rest of my life.

i know this is a very difficult question to answer (i am also aware that my grammar isn't perfect {it is late and i am tired}), and I'm not really sure what my question is, so if it is possible, please help with my dilemma.

Although I will graguate as a junior, when im 16 years old.

My question is.
On my applications on univs. scholars. ect...

What do i put on my classification?

Sophomore (10th) or Junior (11th)?

Im thinking if i put S. they won't take me seriously. And if i put J. and my ranking is low to them and i put i haven't taken ACT or SAT they won't take me seriously either.

So me and my friend dont want to graduate and feel like we havent done anything fun with our lives. So we decided that were going to make a list of stuff to do before we graduate highschool and start college.... but i cant really think of much.

Number 1 will probably be hit/spill the trash can outside of this one girl's house that we dont like and then just drive off.

Number2 will probably to steal a candy bar or somthing because ive never done that in my entire life.

Number 3 will be to smoke weed behind the supermarket or somthing.

Any other suggestions??????

Sure, I know that "falsification, misrepresentation, or omission of information on this application or my credentials, may result in the denial or revocation of admission and, if enrolled, will result in disciplinary action including dismissal from the college"...but whatever.
With the thousands of colleges and universities just in the U.S., there's no way that anyone can find out if I went somewhere if I don't mention it. And no, I don't have a MySpace, Facebook, Classmates.com, Reunion.com, etc. site that will show me up.

So, what's the harm in going for it? If schools REALLY had a way of finding out, they wouldn't make such a fuss about includeing ALL institutions, now would they?

Me thinks the colleges doth protest too much!

I'm 22, and am applying for transfer as a Junior into a new University. I'm currently attending community college for now. The application asks for a resume. My current resume is formatted for a potential employer, but...should I change it to emphasize my education instead?

Resumes confuse the heck out of me. I've never done an admissions resume before!
