I don't know how the classes will be like but I'm more concerned about the english courses than the math because everyone has told me that these courses are really basic and that I already know this so I don't want to feel like in kindergarten ...... I come from a foreign country and I've been here for 3 years already but is not enough to speak proper english as an american do , so I want to improve my english skills . Will my english level affect me in my gpa in college if I will major in liberal arts????

If you have any idea about what I'm trying to say could you explain me how this work???? and btw which is the easiest subject in liberal arts overall for a person like me to keep a good gpa so I can transfer to a 4 year college ( i'm currently in comunity college , thinking of law or pshycology)

what are the most important things to consider when choosing? Also, which do you think is better, to choose something vocational or a subject that you're particularly interested in, but isn't vocational?

I'm entering my senior year in high school. I'm a member of various clubs and organiztions at my school such as the girls basketball team and the debate club. In school my GPA is rather low its a 1.83 I'm not too excited to say but the hopes of me getting into college are slim to none. Its like during the school year I'm a B/C Student but when it comes to end of the year test I dont really seem to do good no matter how much I study. The college that I really want to attend is Norfolk State University. I'm in a program called AVID which helps students who have the determination to go to college. Norfolk has a program with a sister community college to help students whos GPA's are low. The thing I'm not sure bout is how low your GPA has to be. The main thing I was wondering is if I could get into any college with such a low GPA.

I considering both majors and am premed, however given the strong possibility that I won't get into med school off the bat and might not want to go on to graduate school to get a masters or phd, which of those majors is more marketable or commands a higher starting salary? What kinds of jobs can biology or biochemistry get with just a bachelors degree?

I have heard of the 7 IIT campuses, NITs, but I've never heard of BITS. Is it public or private? Does it have any reputation?
Is it pathetic or okay? I've always heard limitless praises of IIT, but BITS is new in the hood for me.

My friends say, " Those who can't make it to IIT are idiots and some of them go to BITS." What is this BITS?

I searched through google and found it is there since 1929 and is ranked 6th. How the hell?

Personally, I don't think it is anything compared to IIT. IIT ranks 3rd in the world after MIT and Stanford, but this unknown BITS is nowhere and I guess it should be no where.

I completed my BA in Humanities with a minor in Art History while living in Germany. After I moved back to the States I started a Master's in Adult Education but I'm not sure that this is the path I really want to take. I'd really prefer to go back into Art History/Restoration/Therapy. My husband is military and we will be moving back to Germany this spring. Does anyone know of any reginally accredited universities that have an online MA in one of these areas? I've worked in higher education for the past 5 yrs but I deal with universities that focus on the military and haven't run into one with my area of interest. Thanks in advance for any guidance! :c)

I want to go to a 4-year university after I graduate from high school, and I want to live in a dorm. The problem is, it costs $8,000 per year to live in a dorm, which is $32,000 total (not including books).

My mom said that she would find a way to pay for my room and board money (the tuition is taken care of with scholarships). She makes about $60,000 a year, though, and $8,000 a year is a lot considering her salary.

I want to live in the dorms really badly, but I hate spending that much of her money, and I wouldn't mind going to a community college first, but I'd prefer a dorm.

Should I go to a community college for the first 2 years and save $16,000 in room and board fees, or should I take advantage of my mom's offer and have fun?

Thank you.

I am planning on attending Kansas State University and getting my degree in veterinary medicine. I want to get it here mostly because it is cheaper to attend this school as I am a resident of Kansas, but I do not want to stay in Kansas after receiving my degree. What I would like to know is if a degree from a school in Kansas will look credible to future employers in other states (people often think those of us in Kansas aren't the brightest...)?

so, can you help me find some 4 year universities with equestrian teams? links would be appreciated, but aren't necessary. i'd really like to ride on an equestrian team because showing horses nationally has become a huge part of my life, so i'd like to continue while representing my school.

thanks in advance!!!! :D
