my computer is running suuuuuuuuuuper slow! it's been loading the texas a&m page for 10 minutes! this is my third try posting this question since i got the "cannot load the page" message. grrr.

so, can you help me find some 4 year universities with equestrian teams? links would be appreciated, but aren't necessary. i'd really like to ride on an equestrian team because showing horses nationally has become a huge part of my life, so i'd like to continue while representing my school.

thanks in advance!!!! :D

that's the NCAA list

it's not a very long list to pick from.

I'm partial to College of Charleston or Univ. of SC myself - but then, I'm in South Carolina. Univ of SC is last year's national champion.

Final Overall Team Standings
1. South Carolina 64
2. Texas A&M 42
3. Georgia 31
4. Kansas State 27
5. Oklahoma State 25
6. New Mexico State 21
7. Auburn 16
8. Baylor 11

Be sure to understand the difference between a club and a team sport. If you aspire to national or international competition then you'll probably want a team or a nearby USEF affiliate.

The University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY) has one. www.uky.edu

Found this info on UK's website:

The UK Equestrian Team, a College of Agriculture club team, has approximately 60 riders. UK competes in Zone 6, Region 2. Region 2 is made up of Miami University of Ohio, Midway College, Morehead State University, Ohio University Southern, University of Cincinnati, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, Wilmington College and Xavier University.

My husband works at UK. Email me if you have any questions.

Tufts, Smith, and UVa. have 'em...but you should find/borrow a faster, more cooperative computer when you're in the groove of doing serious college research!
