Higher Education (University +) - February 2007

Hey, I’m in 11th grade and I’m starting to think about college and what I want to do. My grades are good they have always been in the 90's my overall average this year is a 95 in 10th grade it was a 93 and 9th it was in the mid 80's. I am also a volunteer at an emergency medical center and have a small job. What are my chances of getting into pre-med?? My Sat grades are 400 for writing, 490 for reading, and 520 for math...

I have pondered as an african american moving into a community which is all caucasin about 60 miles from where I currently live( I commute for the university there). Reason being is that the community is so small the high school will have about 120 graduating seniors and improve my childrens chance of getting into a good college if they were to graduate at the top of their class. Reason being a chance for them to get into a good college or possibly scholorships, or recognition they wouldn't normally get if they were in an urban setting. Is this a reciepe for disaster and too high expectations, or just stay put where i' m at?

I fall in category 1 of course with a good degree but no the best.
Even then corporates ask for 2nd where i experienced allot.

When 22-32 years old, I were not in a good condition to continue my education. So I got my master degree when 36 years old--rather later for me. Now I would like to try to get a doctorate degree. But I felt I were less enegetic after 40 years old. I wonder if I am able to finish my doctorate programme(I have registered one doctorate programme).

Actually I can do my job quite well. To get a doctorate programme, I just would like to improve my research capability--to improve myself and to have more experiences always let me feel better.

would it be possible? I'm just 21 years old...how many months/years would I need to attain such profession as my second course?...Im really interested in becoming an aviator someday, because I believe that it would be one of my greatest assets in rendering medical missions especially in remote areas where the only channel of travel is the open skies to further reach out and help people.
