as far as I know Loughborough university is focused on professional sport a lot. Look it up.

Have a look at www.ucas.ac.uk (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). If you do a course search you can find courses relating to sport - Sports Science, for example - and then get more details of what's actually involved in the course. Off the top of my head I know Exeter University does quite a lot, but that's just 'cos I happen to live there; I'm sure there are plenty of others.
