My 17-year-old daughter will be applying to colleges next year, and she could not take AP classes because she lived abroad for a semester (on scholarships -- we are not rich), and the school said she could not take AP classes if she was not there the first semester. She has a high GPA, but no AP classes. Now, I'm hearing that colleges only want kids who have AP classes, and are overlooking those who don't. Anyone have any personal or professional information about this? Thanks.

I'm an Agri Business major and Horticulture minor. I would like to take an acting class because I am a fan of theatre and would like to know more about it. Would that be a good idea so I will have some theatre background as well?

I really want to study medicine at any university however, I don't think my A-level grades will be high enough. For my GCSE's I achieved: 6A's, 3B's and 1C. At the moment I am studying my AS-levels: Biology, chemistry, psychology and food and nutrition. I am also an active member of the school as I take part in: lesson support, peer-mentoring and little chef for the primary school children. I have also carried out 1 week's work experience in Arrowe park hospital following the footsteps of a peadiatrician. I also work part time in a residential home for the elderly, and have previously done 3 months work experience in a nursery for young children.
If i am unable to apply directly to study medicine at university, is there anyway I could take another relevant course, then go on to study medicine? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am interested in going to school to pursue a carreer as a paralegal. I would prefer to take online classes. I am confused with choosing an online school because I know some of the schools only offer a certificate that doesn't really nessicaraily mean that your legit and its not as credible as taking classes at a college. How can I tell with the way they word it if the school is what I really want?

To make matters worse, I´ve gone to three different colleges, RIT in NY, Mcpherson in Kansas and Napier in Edinburgh.

I´ve gotten decent grades, just above a 3.0 average, and I have lots of credits, but is there anyway that I can receive an Associates degree? I´´m more or less not affiliated with the colleges anymore and simply have lots of credits on a transcript...more than enough to receive an associates from a normal community college or university. What are my options???

Took a class as an undergrad, it was 6000 level, was used toward my bachelors, i needed a special exception just to take it, got an A in it....now going to graduate school at a diff university. If they allow the transfer of graduate credits, will this one count even though I didn't take it as graduate student? mind you i was the only undergraduate in this course when i took it.
