Took a class as an undergrad, it was 6000 level, was used toward my bachelors, i needed a special exception just to take it, got an A in it....now going to graduate school at a diff university. If they allow the transfer of graduate credits, will this one count even though I didn't take it as graduate student? mind you i was the only undergraduate in this course when i took it.

Highly doubtful.

At many universities, undergrads (usually senior majors) can take grad level courses. This is usually seen as a "feather in their cap" in terms of admissions, but not as credits toward a new graduate program.

Most graduate schools do not accept transfer credits because their own programs are structured in a particular way, and courses from outside the program are not likely to precisely reflect either the structure or content of their courses.

In addition, a Master's or PhD from University X carries a certain value in the field. The integrity of that degree depends upon the courses that comprise that degree, and the faculty that teach in that program.

Bottom line: You can't "cut and paste" a graduate degree.

Short answer: no.

I never heard of a grad school giving anyone credit for any course that they took before they received their Bachelor;s. And most graduate schools allow VERY limited transfer of credits - as in, probably forget about it.

They might be impressed by the idea that you were taking a course at that level, but they wont give you any credit.
