I heard that people are more likely to get full ride scholarships from small liberal arts colleges than any other colleges, public or private. Is this true? I like their animal science program as well as the 5 college consortium idea. Has any one gone to this school or been in one of the 5 colleges in the program?

I would like to earn both a Phd and DBA, and was wondering if there are certain schools which offers both simultaneously, like a two-degree program offer.

I love to write, read, and edit. I've been considering switching my college major to English, although I've heard many complaints about career opportunities for those with a degree in English. Does anyone out there have any suggestions to offer from experience?

I think this would be the ideal path for my personality, but probably not so much financially.

What are the benefits and disadvantages of this degree?

i scored a 2160 on the december sats and taken only 1 sat2. my gpa is a 3.6 unweighted but i did really poorly in bio freshmen year and ended up with a C both semester. in sophomore year, though im in a higher math level, i ended up with 2 C's again. my counselor told me that the sat math score balances out my c in math, but it still looks bad. im in asb, tennis, track, mun, and a few clubs.

im interested in many things and as of right now, for college, im leaning a lot towards foreign langauges (french, spanish and chinese), advertising, marketing or finearts (im starting my portfolio next month, hopefully its not too late [im a junior]). nyu looks like a pretty good school for those, but i was wondering waht other schools i am capable of attending becuase my counselor told me those C's are there to bite me in the ***.

Hi.... I'm currently a junior in Hollywood, Fl and I am curious to see what the statistics are for USC. I mean what is the average GPA, SAT, Service Hour Recommendations, extra-curricular, etc. I plan on attending some school in California no matter what and I have some safety schools but USC is my dream school. I have attended 3 high schools in 3 years which is VERY frustrating! See the thing that worries me is that in my freshman year I did fine with a 3.8 GPA but after transferring I went through such shock that my sophomore year was average and I believe my GPA dropped to a 3.6 and had some C’s so I left that school because I was very uncomfortable and it was in a way very ghetto, I'm now in a college prep and I’m having my best year over my 1st two semesters I have a 4.0 average. I want to graduate with a 3.8, 1300 SAT, 125 Community Service Hours, and a good essay. Also will USC give me a break for going to 3 different high schools. And does living in Fl hurt my chances?

I am currently 17 years old and still enrolled in high school. However, a career in the medical field has always interested me, and I would like to get a head start by learning about the daily experiences of doctors, or about what kind of courses are taken in pre-med and medical school. I also think that it would be amazing to start reading about different types of biology and other things that are taught in pre-med. Are there any good websites or books for this?

If I take an AP course which the only one I'm elegiable to take this year is AP Biology as an elective. If I take it will it count towards a science credit in college or a Biology credit? As if it's a biology credit what determines that you are going to take biology in the first place to use that credit? I was thinking it was just a regular science credit but was not sure. Please provide some insight on AP classes I'm new to this and this year is the first year I'm elegiable for these and the next 2 (Jr. & Sr.) will open up another good 10-12 that I can try for.

I am a freshman at Houston Baptist University, I have a 4.0 GPA after the first quarter and will probably have one through the next. I have very little extra curricular because since the age of 16 I have been working 30 plus hours a week. I have worked my way to Finance Manager at the company I work at. Whats my chances? Be brutal.

Also would transferring into a liberal arts then internally into the business school be wise?

I really want to get my nursing degree, but don't have the time right now to be in a time commitment in a traditional class-room setting. I'm hoping someone has had luck with an online program.

I live in Texas, but I don't think I could make it into UT. If I want to start my own business after college, what college should I go to and what courses should I take? I have about a 2.4 GPA but I'm not really sure (could be lower).

Remember: I want colleges that I would have a shot at getting in to... I'm a high school junior and I haven't taken the SAT yet (I got a 177 out of 240 on the PSAT).
