Blue books are actual paper books that you have to purchase for your finals, usually at the book store or the student union. You will write all of your answers in this book. Case study questions would refer to final questions about actual case studies you have discussed or studied in class.

Some colleges make you write long hand essays in a standard sized test booklet, it was blue. A case study question is you are given a hypothetical case or a case study (with identifiers removed) and asked how you would handle it.
