First, no I didn't get a DUI, i'm writing a scriptp in which this kid ends up getting a DUI, and the college in which he was accepted to previously ends up rescinding their acceptance based on his misdemeanor. Having no personal experience with this, (this is taking place like March of '07) what are possible options for this kid? I mean do you think he would even get into any other college? (I'm not talking about Stanford or Princeton more along the lines of anything but a community college.

Ok, I've found my calling, which is to be an ophthalmologist. However, I'm in sophomore year and I don't want to switch majors AGAIN. But I really want to go to med school. Can someone, ANYONE, help me by telling me my chances and what I can do to increase my chances of getting in?

Or am I beating a dead drum?

Thanks.

(1) staying in and studying and trying to get the best grades possible; or

(2) going out to the bars and parties and learning social skills and networking, assuming you still manage to get decent grades and not fail out but you are sacrificing getting excellent grades.

I was advised by my finance professor that as well as studying from textbooks, I should read newspapers like the Financial Times/Wall Street Journal and magazines such as The Economist and also watch a UK nightime show called Newsnight, however he didnt really explain why no matter how many times I asked, he just didnt make sense....cant anyone please explain to me why this is necessary and to what detail or depth I should read these?

Thank You
