I went to the F.C.C's website (www.FCC.gov) and searched their site for them, but never recieved any answers remotely similar to what I was looking for. Any answers would be appreciated!

"The original seven words were, s h it , piss, f u c k, c u n t, **********, ************, and t i t s." (Spaces inserted to override Yahoo!'s asterisk plugger.) Read George Carlin's famous routine at http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/conlaw/filthywords.html.

The seven words are not listed anywhere -- because the phrase doesn't come from a list that the FCC has -- it comes from a comedy routine by George Carlin in the early 1970s.

I saw him perform in 1973. He did the routine at my college. The seven words that George Carlin claimed couldn't be said on TV are listed at the link below.

Note that this was the early 1970s. I've heard at least three of those words on broadcast television since then (s.h.i.t, t.i.t.s and piss).
